Sony Car Stereo

I've been a customer of Sony products for a long time and consider their stereos to be of great quality at an affordable cost

excellent value

The stereo is what I expected, as well as easy to program. The only downfall that I don't care for is, while driving, the display kicks into a mode, showing all of the features of the stereo. It's like a commercial kicking in, when all I want is either the radio station or clock display. It would be OK if it did that for a short period of time and go back to the original display, but I have to physically change something on the stereo for the "commercial" display to end.

good product fast shipping very loud and clear. also upgraded my door speakers but the factory 6x9's shake the seats when the bass hits. not overly complicated but not too many customizable options either. bottom line good stereo for low price. p.s. turn off demo mode

Excellent choice

I needed to replace my old Sony so I got this unit for a bargain price, thinking it would be ok. And its a great low end stereo. The power is good, sound was as clear as my old Sony. The EQ setup on the CDX-GT270MP is unique, you can customize each EQ preset with your own setting of bass mid and treble. Each source Fm, Am, CD, and Aux will remember the EQ preset last used. Bass is set at 60hz for tight bass response. RDS to see the song playing on FM radio is a nice feature at this price point. CD Mp3 read time is faster than my old Sony and MP3 tags were read properly. Its easy to use this stereo, the menu is not complicated and the buttons are laid out logically and not grouped too close. Like almost all 1 din stereos the 1-6 buttons are rather small, the function labels for them are even smaller and are not lit at night.

This stereo is rather stark and basic - to get USB, Iphone, color choices, etc you'll have to spend more. If you want to connect multiple amps this is not the stereo for you. So there are few frills here, just a good solid stereo. After a week I realized I really wanted USB and some other features, so I exchanged it for another stereo. But If you only need a really good basic stereo with aux in, the CDX-GT270MP is well worth looking at.

Best base line product for the cash. No problems and have had mine for almost two years now.

Affordable and works

This CD player has all the features that we needed or wanted, and it worked perfect. CD player never skips. FM/AM works great. And the aux jack is perfect for iphones, ipods, or mp3 players.

Overall just a pretty basic head unit with some decent options for its price.

Great reciever

I placed this reciever in my son's car. I also had an amp sub woofer combo that i connected to the receiver. The available plug in for the sub was great and made installation easy. The remote control for the receiver is convienent when working on the car in the garage.

good cd player good price

Easy to figure out the settings. Sound is good and enhances the sound of stock speakers but brought out the quality and ear ringing sound from my matching Sony speakers. and cant beat free shipping free wire harness and dash kit for the price. Sonic has the best prices friendliest workers and best shipping thanks Sonic.

Sony CDX-GT260MP

After buying a problematic JVC KDR620 from another company last year, I'm very satisfied with this Sony for about half what I paid for the JVC. The sound, display and layout of the controls are all excellent.

The only negatives I can think of are that some of the set-up functions that are shown in the manual such as the caution alarm on/off and the auto scroll function are not actually in the menu on the receiver.

It doesn't have a lot of the features that the JVC had, but at least it works and seems to be very well constructed. Another plus is the Radio Data System. I enabled the RDS clock function, tuned it a station with RDS and the clock immediately set itself to the right time!

I'm very happy with my purchase and the price and shipping I received from Sonic. The Scosche trim kit for my 2008 F150 is also top-notch.

This deck is a good value for a upgrade over stock. Was going to buy speakers too but this deck was like a supercharger for the oem speakers. They never sounded so good and loud.
