HD Radio

Get this radio, HD is way awesome. Sound quality is noticeable, old music sounds like new, songs sound different than I've ever heard before. Very crisp - all the little stuff comes out. Free extra channels some even commercial free, remote is convenient, so much better than stock radio. Didn't expect this at all. Replaced Honda accord radio, wicked light show - like a disco. Doesn't support android - or Pandora on android, menus are a little complicated but some neat stuff if you keep digging. Sonic is by far the best price free supplies, such a deal for Honda accord 04. The radio is attached to the heat so it had to go in the glove box. The old radio was turning on with out the key and draining the battery. So happy with this radio I bought another one for the other car.

Great head unit

This is a great head unit and a great value. I bought this unit as a christmas gift for my little brothers first car and after a quick and easy install I was jealous I didn't get one for my self. Set up was painless. It was very user friendly, the quality made the speakers sound better than they did with the stock radio and amplifier that came from Ford. The HD stations came in crystal clear and my brother couldn't wait for his birthday so he could expand his new car audio experience as he now wants to get an amp and sub to go with his new head unit. This was a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade they're factory radio. Working with sonic electronix is and has been a pleasure!

So I bought this deck for my wife"s B-day! After i installed and got it all set up I was blown away! Tons of versatility and power, good job Sony!

This is a good radio with good reception , it is for my wife's car , she is happy and likes the cd player also . It was easy to put in her car , took one hour . We have had good luck with Sony products , John

Great Unit

Its everything it says it is. Its priced right, sounds great and had good features. Bluetooth would be nice for this price but is not a deal breaker. Having 3 preamp outs is great if you intend to run amp/and or crossover units behind this unit. The EQ and other built in filters work great, spend a little time getting everything fine tuned and you will love the sound.

good value for price

Color synchro is great if you like to see different colors dance to the music. Cannot continually scroll name and artist of song like JVC. Very disappointing aspect. 7 band equalizer is nice. Specs indicate most sensitive tuner on market.

Pretty good

Everything works how I expected, but the display is a little hard to see at times, even with the brightest color. I hate how it cant just sit still. I wish it would display the song and station or whatever and then show the time, but it doesn't seem like I can get it to do that , I will tinker with it some more, but it does the job.

Great Looking Radio

The radio has various lights that shine while playing along with the feature of removable face-plate. There are many nice features about this CD player but the wiring harness that came with it was not fully functional. However, the radio itself has more features than needs therefore, I am happy with it. It has remote control and iPod port as well. Buy it you will not be disappointed.......I AM HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE

Great price, good quality

I like this stereo! It was easy to install (and I'm a girl. Even though we are capable of installing such items- many of the opposite gender are surprised I did all the work) Sonix was right on in their recommended accessories and thanks for the free wiring harness. Your tutorial videos were exceptionally helpful as a go to if unsure about anything.
This Sony stereo itself has tons of background colors to chooses from or I just keep it on random setting and it color melds into all the colors as it changes. Cool option. Overall, I'd recommend this particular stereo for the price and quality. Thanks Sonix.

Factory Replacement

Good product ordered due to sale price and features. My wife wanted to be able to plug in her music to the stereo which she could not do with the factory radio. Sonix also supplied the harness adapter and frame to fit the car. Very quick to send unit and I am happy to give Sonix future business based on this great experience.

1984 Camaro Z28 Stereo install

Stereo head unit is too long to install without major modification to console plastic heating/cooling duct inside console at rear of head unit wire plug connection.It was necessary to completely remove plastic duct to allow unit to fall deep enough into mounting area.I,personally was able to complete this installation but do not recommend this unit as a drop in application for easy fit.Modifications are necessary.Please remove this as a fit for the listed vehicle and start more detailed measurement calculations.Great stereo and sound once installed. Just... More than i was looking for!!

Easy install
Love the color changing effects
Sound output is perfect for my JBL speakers
Plenty of rear inputs for additional front & rear speakers( and sub input aswell)
The only drawback is the unclipping method, when you go to detach the faceplate!( kinda takes a bit of fidgeting to remove)

.It's a easy radio to program or use. It was easy to install and had working in about 20min.it was easy hook up with blue tooth and my phone. I will be putting one in my camry next.

Excellent Unit

I'm very satitisfied with this unit. I noticed the crisp clear sound when I first powered on the radio. There are multiple preset sound settings that allow you to alter the sound to your music. Reception is great. My CD's encoded with titles show up on the screen. The screen has two different colors to chose from red and blue and dims when the night lights are powered on. Most important it was a "Great Buy", Thank you.

Awesome receiver

Sony products have historically been good and this one is no exception. Has all the features you could need and sounds great. Installation was a breeze and there's only a small learning curve to know how to make all the necessary personal settings. I would definitely recommend purchasing one.

Nice unit

I just finished installing this radio in a 2005 Ford F-150. First off, get a wiring harness that is made for your car. It really saves a lot of time when soldering and you don't have to cut factory wires. I will say that this was a nice upgrade for now I can listen to HD radio, a really nice feature. It is crystal clear and can connect with many more stations in my area. (NW Indiana)

I constantly have problems with aftermarket radio's lights being too bright. I was particularly interested in this unit due to its option of having an entirely red screen illumination. I currently have the radio set to bright white during the day and a very dim red at night. The colors change when the headlights are turned on or off. The factory radio location is fairly high on this truck, and the dim red is just fine for night driving.

Do not buy this headunit if you're looking to gain power output to your speakers. The peak wattage is 52w and I believe RMS is somewhere around 17w, which is fine if you don't care about impressing your friends...

The button layout and iPod navigation(Playlists, Albums, Songs, etc..) are just fine. They take some getting used to but are fairly simple after overcoming the learning curve.

For the iPhone Pandora users; the Pandora function works elegantly..

Make sure you want a front USB port before you buy this unit, I've seen many people with Alpine units with rear USB ports that have a cable hardwired into a glove box. This is a particularly nice if you don't like a cluttered up dashboard..

All in all for twenty over a hundred bucks, this unit will do the job just fine.
