Extended Warranty

Hopefully will never have to use this but I have used Square Trade before with other products and have had to make claims. Great service and resolution was quick and satisfactory.

Not impressed

I added this coverage to my kicker L7 subwoofer and filed a claim for it after it failed.

They said I needed to take the sub to a repair shop or send to the manufacturer for repair & they would cover the costs.
Kicker said they wouldn't repair it, they just replace it if it was processed within a year.
After relaying that message to square trade, they advised to have me send the sub to square trade for repair instead.
That seemed odd, but ok I'll go with it.
A few days after they received it they said they couldn't repair it because there was damage inside the unit.
Their resolution was to send the defective sub back to me and offer to refund my $26.99 if I agreed to cancel coverage.

This was just a waste of my time.

I will not be buying coverage through them again.
