This sub is the REAL DEAL--lots of booming bass thunder, plus the housing is awesome as there is NO chance of water damage to the cabinet and little, if any, chance a shower will get to the speaker inside. The speaker protection on the outside is beautifully sound, no rattles, and the speakon connector works like a charm. NO 1/4 jacks or banana plug inputs--these are made for DJ's or stage work, and you don't want those other kinds on your speakers now anyhow. I put these on an old Pyle amp just for schnitz and giggles and they POUNDED the party at my house. I also used them for an outside movie (JAWS) with my other PA speakers and video projector--my kids had a blast with the BOOOOOOM BOOMP....BOOOOOOM BOOMP...of John Williams classic score...not to mention the crash bang booms of the movie. Just great speakers for the money. Glad I purchased TWO of them as well.
