Repurchased a Whistler again

Works like a charm! I would say it is the bang for the buck. No problems.

First day so far...

So I received my pro 78se last night and had a hour and a half drive today from Mississippi to LaPlace, LA
I'm amazed how different it was than what I was expecting. All the reviews I saw were about people complaining about so many false alarms. I only had 2 alarms go off total... 1 was a laser and the other a "pulse"... Other than that it was nice and quiet. I even let POP stay ON and I used Ka MAX... I rode by a few stores like CVS and Walmart that have automatic doors and It didn't effect my pro 78se at all..
I also drove behind 2 cops and had a cop pass me heading in my other direction and they didn't effect it either. So far I'm very please with it. I'll keep my post updated last after I've had it for alittle longer.

Best detector out there for the money!! It has detected police radar over 2 miles out. False alarms minimal! Had it 6 months now and hasn't failed me once yet. Compass is about the only thing its missing. Who needs it, i have GPS.

Great detector!

Compared to a really old but decent detector this one is far batter. When comparing it to a newer Cobra, this one is night and day difference (better-wise).
I've had it pick up signals on the highway long before I could see the cop, even within lots of traffic on a divided highway.
Definitely a great product for the price.

I bought this unit because I read multiple good things about it on radar detector forums and when I asked friends they tried to tell me that whistlers were "cheap and wouldn't work good" well all of those people have eaten their words lol! This unit more than payed for itself within the first day of it being installed in my vehicle! It gives unbelievably quick and accurate alerts to approaching Leo's radaring! I plan to buy a second one of these pro-78se's for my fiancé's car as she is always trying to use mine and I've already had my license pulled once for speeding tickets
