The type of technology used to produce the screen images. LCD, DLP, Plasma, LCoS, and CRT are the most common. 2 newer technologies include LED and OLED which use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as a backlight, as opposed to conventional LCD TVs, which use cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) for a backlight.

LED technology integrates LCD display technology with LED backlighting. On LED television, both LCD and LED will be selected here.

This means that the television is compatible with 3D images. Some televisions will require special glasses to view the 3D images, while other TVs can display the image without the necessity of glasses.

This is the maximum contrast ratio that the display is able to produce. Typically, the dynamic contrast ratio is about 5x the normal, or static, contrast ratio.

High-definition televisions will display the image at 1080i, 1080p, or 720p. To be considered full HD, a television must display at 1080p.

Standard televisions will display the images at 480i or 480p. This means that there are 480 horizontal lines that create the picture.

This is the number of HDMI inputs that the television or monitor is able to accept at a single time.

This designates if an iPod can be docked the particular device. This feature applies it to home DVD/Blu-ay players, iPod accessories, alarm clocks, and more. When an iPod is docked, it will charge the iPod. Some devices will support the playback of video off of a docked compatible iPod. Some players include a dock or have one built-in, while others require you to purchase it separately.
