Pioneer at its best
This is a fantastic amp. Really delivers the power.
Check out the amp dyno on youtube.
I bit bigger then I wanted but well made and huge sound quality for the money. I bought 2 but only really need one. More than enough power to vibrate your fuel in injectors lose.
The speaker's attachment points face down and that really makes it painful for speaker attachments but probably only have to do this one or twice.
It has a fail-safe to cut off the amp if you overdo it, a great feature i.m.o. for set up and tuning is must have with 500.00 speakers.

Wow this five channel little booger impressed me a lot I recently sold my truck and I had the five channel Alpine PDX and it was a beast and I sold the truck with it so I was doing a new-build for my new SUV and I was a bit on a budget so I said let me try out this Pioneer 5 Channel and let me tell you the mids and highs sound amazing and Crystal Clear and it with no distortion i hooked it up to the new Infinity Kappa 62.11 components in the front co axles in the rear and I also put sound deadening material and what a difference I have a 12 inch custom ported box with an Infinity Kappa subwoofer I couldn't use my P3 because it was a 2 ohm sub so I would only get half the power the P3 hits harder but the infinity subwoofer sounds cleaner but yes if you want a 5-channel amp I would definitely recommend this compared to the Alpine PDX v9 I will put the Pioneer right next to it oh and I forgot the infinity components and coaxials are 2 ohm so the amp is pushing 100 RMS to the speakers so after fine-tuning the amp it sounds incredible and I'm glad I purchased this amp I was very hesitant at first because I usually Buy Rockford Fosgate Alpine or jl audio if you want one amp to power whole with great sound quality I would choose this amp

tl;dr ~ This is a great value and I will buy this amp again for my wife's vehicle.
Longer read ~ I have had as many as four amplifiers in a car before = way to many cables to manage. Based on that experience and a few more builds in between, I bought this ONE amp as an upgrade to pioneer's 4 channel that has been installed and a champ for 3 years because I wanted to more control of balance (and to send my sub more power ~ previously made it work with 4 coaxials bridged up front and then used rear for sub which I believe is against Pioneer's recommendations for ohm load)
Obviously, this larger amp has more channels, and a bass knob, and I knew the clarity was there.
What I did not expect was that Pioneer changed the dimensions that make it fit better for me and this is a win as I have very little space for multiple amps or even anything much bigger than I was using already. The shorter length allows for easier access for adjustments without un-mounting it from its hiding place ~ very much appreciated in my Suzuki Samurai!
The only thing I can complain about is the new design of the mounting points: I prefer ones that 'capture' more of the fastener holding it down as I will be bouncing severely and the older model had more aluminum in this area ~ so I am dinging a star for that.

I just installed this in my Vibe GT and I'm running a 500W RMS 2-ohm Alpine sub. It sounds incredible. There are gain and frequency controls for each channel. I haven't had time to hook up my new speakers to it yet, so I can't vouch for it completely as a 5-channel system, but based on how well it is running my sub, I don't anticipate any problems.
Also, the install was pretty easy. The hard part was running the power, but that has nothing to do with the amp.

Powerful Amp that is running my 6X9's and 6X5's in the doors PLUS a 10" Pioneer Sub! More power than I need. The system gets loud to me with plenty of kick as well. As long as you feed this amp the correct amount of power from your cars electrical system including the Alternator with its Current that shoudl be checked, then you will enjoy this amp. I'm at the age where Im not going for that "BIG HUGE Volume" , I'm looking for powerful volume and mainly quality sound overall. Its more volume than I need or want without damaging my ears more than ive done in my younger years. I love it loud, and this amp is plenty for me! I was surprised at the power this has to run ALL 5 speakers! One thing I would suggest is that you baby the hex screws that tighten the speaker and power wires down, one of them stripped on me. I emailed Pioneer about this but have not heard any response back from them yet. A solution would be for you to take the small hex screws out and replace them with better screws from your hardware. Thats the weakest link for me, the rest is awesome!

Replaced my old MAC-M3004 4-channel amp with this as I was adding a subwoofer. Made mounting a little interesting, as this is a much larger amp, but it does an excellent job of taking my HUs 4-channel output and extracting the 5th.
Also, 94dba vs 89dba means it's pushing quite a bit more volume compared to the old amp, a change of 10dba is considered 'twice as loud', and this amp does seem to be about 50% louder per volume setting than the old.
Bright blue power light is a bit annoying as it's lighting up the footwell from under the seat. But a little bit of electrical tape can fix that!
Currently pushing a set of TS-D1702Rs, TS-D1720Cs, and a Punch P3D4-10 in an '05 Jeep Liberty. With the crossovers set correctly, it sounds absolutely awesome!
