• Double-DIN Dash Kit
• Painted to Match Factory Dash Color
• High-Grade ABS Plastic Construction
• Factory Style Texture
• Compatible with select 1999-2006 vehicles from BMW Vehicles
This stereo installation kit is engineered to help you install a 4" tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit helps make radio replacement easier and is painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the original look and feel of the vehicle's dashboard. For a flush mount of the aftermarket radio, modifications to the factory airbox are required for this installation, and instructions are included. Installing an aftermarket radio can upgrade the sound quality and provide additional features the original factory radio couldn't offer but requires this dash kit to make it fit.

I was able to make everything work. However, I ran into some issues. The first problem is the ac door does not have the rubber seal like the factory one.. not really a big deal but still a little concerning. Next problem I ran into was removing the old ac vent door and installing the supplied one. I basically has to tear a hole in the ac vent box to get the new ac door into vent box.. in the process I felt like a was going to snap the door arm off.. it was not easy.. after several attempts I got it. The next issue asked most unexpected was a had to cut the corner and modify the supplied af vent cover because the vent door doesn't have the clearance it needs to allow the ac door to open as it should.. very shocking.. you will not have full function of you vent unless you physically cut the corner nearest the door out and flip it around and tape it width duct tap back in reverse.
This allows clearance.. luckey for me I'm good with my hands otherwise does would have been a waste of money.. if you can problem solve and good with your hands you can make it work. The engineers who designed this half-asses the design.
