Gives old music thunder!
I got this model for the home stereo and a Soundstream for the car system. These are like magic! I tried out some classic rock, disco, and funk from the '70s. Unprocessed, the bass is almost dead. The subs don't get much. This Boss really "injects" some low end boom into the music. Some have complained about the bass being unnatural. Yes if you turn the center freq too far counterclockwise or turn the bass generation level up too high. some songs will sound a little weird. But you can add a fair amount of processing and it still sounds like natural low bass-goes well with the song. But be warned, if you think this device can make your underpowered bass system compete with the big boys...no...you can't change the laws of physics. You'll just add distortion and shorten the life of your equipment. Reproducing lots of ultra low bass needs much power and subs that can handle it. But if you wanna add some thunder to music that doesn't have it, this can work for you.
