Very Clean Sounding Amp/ DSP
I was replacing an old JBL MS-8 in my BMW. I originally gutted the entire audio system. So, all the infrastructure was already in place. It was a simple swap of connectors etc. Even if I didn’t have all the various connectors etc in place, it wouldn’t be too bad.
I have 2 additional amps in the car. I did not use the filters in the software (high pass & low pass) on any speakers that were already using filters (via the amp). The ability to parallel settings is a nice & time saving feature. My only complaint about it is that the USB connector cable needs to be about 2-3’ longer.
You do need to set the mixer and tell the DSP what channels you are using and what speakers are powered by each channel. This was not clear in the directions.
The software was easy to down load from the JBL website. It can be a little overwhelming to look at, at first. I’d suggest using YouTube / https://youtu.be/CNPjM3Xe7bI
The above was a helpful video.

Great for a factory upgrade. Installed in a 18 4Runner under the driver seat. I've got 9 (8 + 1 sub) speakers on 7 channels. I'm running it off the stock Toyota head unit. This amp about doubles the power and nearly doubles the volume. What sets it apart though is the value for the DSP. The channel delay function although subtle is noticeable improvement in sound stage. The software is easy to use. I had my installer route the amp's USB cable to my center console so I can plug in my laptop anytime and tweak. You could spend hours tuning. If you are replacing stock speakers randomly this will allow you to really overcome issues. I would think even adding this to a totally stock system would make a world of difference. We'll see if lasts !

I love the amp, but so far I keep getting let down by Sonic Electronix. The first time I ordered it, I received and installed it, but it had numerous problems. The first one was that auto turn on would not work using the audio signal. The second is that it would not accept low level input. The third is that when using high level input, the amp would cut out under moderate load. I sent that one back, and received another, this one will not accept input from channels, 2, 4, and 6. I would love to give this amp 5 stars, but 2 duds in a row seem very unlikely unless there are a considerable amount of bad quality amps out there.
