Pretty great, especially for the price.
I've been using these headphones since Mar. of 2009 and have been pretty content ever since. I mean, sure, higher-end headphones do exist, but usually they're way more expensive and designed for content that isn't as accessible as MP3s and such. Honestly, it astonishes me (and yet not) that people spend exorbitant amounts of money on designer headphones (Which rapper will throw their hat into the ring next, I wonder?!) when they can have perfectly fine headphones like these for a fraction of the price.
Rest assured, you can easily put your faith in the Sennheiser name. They've been making audio products for over 65 years now, so I imagine they know a thing or two about quality.

Good earphones, but not the ones I ordered. Took over 3 months to get any replacement, was given a complete run around by the service staff. If you are looking to get the S HD 280 Pro, get them somewhere else. As for sound, very neutral. If you are looking for heavy beats, not these, but they are crystal clear for a lot of applications. Very comfortable.

I have worked as a professional audio - recording engineer for 33 years and have been exposed to many types or headphones. The Sennheiser HD 280 PRO headphones have the greatest frequency response of any professional head phone set. The bass is fat and smooth and the high frequencies are Chrystal clear. They are comfortable too. I can have them on for hours and never get fatigued. I would by another pair if the need would arise and definitely recommend it to my friends and colleagues,

Heavy duty, wonderful sound, well worth the cost. Just the thing when you must share a living space.

good sound reduction, I am using for ham radio headphones. I use in a noisy basement, and these really added quality audio while in turn reducing the ambient noise in the area.

Pros: sound is getting better as they slowly burn in, build quality is very good, isolation is great
Cons: very tight on the head, hope they'll loosen up in time. straight cable instead of curly one would be great
