The P3S-1X10 sealed enclosure was designed specifically to fit in the space behind many regular truck cab seats. It comes preloaded with a single 10" Punch Stage 3 shallow dual voice coil subwoofer that can handle up to 300 watts RMS. The enclosure is wired to a low 1-ohm final impedance. It will drive your amp to its maximum. Just make sure you pair it with a 1-ohm stable amplifier. If you're looking to save or have minimal space, Rockford Fosgate's Punch PBR300X1 amp is a perfect match for this enclosure, generating 300 watts RMS at 1 ohm. The enclosure is constructed with 1/2" medium density fiberboard covered with heavy-duty black carpet.
Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former
By using an anodized aluminum voice coil former on their subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate is able to dissipate heat from the voice coil more efficiently. A hot voice coil can melt the adhesive bonds, which will lead to eventual subwoofer failure. The aluminum voice coil former acts as a heat-sink to dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil cool during high SPL conditions.
Conforms to CEA-2031
Rockford Fosgate has built this subwoofer to conform to the CEA-2031 loudspeaker power handling industry standards. This means that you can trust the subwoofer to have the capacity to safely handle the continuous (RMS) power rating. Having a CEA-2031 power handling is important when matching a subwoofer to an amplifier because the power ratings are accurate.
Stitched Tinsel Leads
To improve the reliability and performance by reducing fatigue and possible shorting, Rockford Fosgate has stitched the tinsel leads to the spider. The multipoint periodic stitching lead wires reduce the mass of the tinsel leads to spread the stress over a greater area. This improves the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.
VAST: Vertical Attach Surround Technique
In order to increase the surface area of the cone without causing any installation issues, Rockford Fosgate designed the Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST). By redesigning the manner in which the surround adheres to the basket, these speakers gain up to 25% more effective radiating cone area. This improves the nominal efficiency and maximum output.

found this helpful.Good sub but pretty weak
I bought this sub to go behind the back seats in my 2004 gmc sierra. It fit nicely and sound pretty good but was a Little disappointed in the power of it (could have been the amount of power I was putting to it). Compared to some of the other 10 inch subs I've had this was probably the weakest one. Easy to get to the limit of it.

I installed this booming 10 incher under the rear seat of a 2010 Ford F-150 supercab truck. Fits perfectly. Excellent quality with big, clean pounding bass out of such a thin boxed sub. Turned my truck into rolling thunder. I installed it with the Rockford Fosgate 1 ohm amp which is nice and small yet very effective! You won't be disappointed!
