I installed these speakers on a sailfish 174, paired with a 2 channel clairion xn3210 amp,and a dual guage style bluetooth reciever.
the sound is every bit as good as speakers that cost hundreds more.
they will sound good without an amp. but are outstanding in sound quality when powered by an amp, amazing bass, clean, and super loud, can be heard from far away.
powered to at least 75 watts rms, mine are running 90 watts rms.
i replace them every 2 years to keep my system sounding fresh. only used in salt water, nothing lasts no matter how much you pay when used in the ocean.
I have bought more expensive speakers, and they did not last any longer,looked old ,started to sound not as good etc...
why pay more?
