The BassLink SM powered subwoofer is purpose-engineered to fit under the seat of many vehicles, and compliments a car audio system's full-range speakers with modest bass. Its slim-profile, 8" woofer delivers low-frequency enhancement from a shallow-profile enclosure. A crossover control and flexible EQ adjustments let you tune the BassLink SM to your system, your car's acoustic environment and your listening preferences. The energy-efficient amplifier keeps it cool while powering the woofer. High-pass filters and limiters ensure remarkable performance, and input options increase installation versatility. The BassLink SM delivers a lot of bass, without taking up a lot of space.

I was really unsure of how this would sound. I have it in the rear of my Prius in the storage compartment. I had to do some tuning (more so than bigger 12" subs I've used) but it really sounds great for what it is, especially at the price. I have it cranked up with the settings on the unit and found running it reverse phase really helped. I can feel the bass in the front seat and I would almost put this against some 10" subs. I almost went with the Kicker unit but after hearing it distorts at higher levels I'm very pleased I went with this unit. Like I said I have it turned up and no distortion and actually hits pretty decent. Wont wake the neighbors but cant beat it for price and size. Save money over the JBL (exact same unit) and get this.

I replaced entire sound system in my Expedition. Played some Pantera and immediately noticed lack of bass. I added this sub under the passenger seat and it provides the exact bass response I was seeking. I wasn't looking for earth shattering bass, but enough to hear bass and drums with emphasis. This speaker does that perfectly

Needed a bit more bass in my '01 750 BMW. The original bass speakers' (4) foam suspension had deteriorated and I had installed a BassLink 200 subwoofer when the same defect occurred in an older 740. As you may know, the BL 200 is a dual-8" device that has a similar footprint as the BL SM - but is ~8" tall. The BL 200 has PLENTY of bass but occupies a lot of space in the boot (even though it's suspended off the floor). So I chose the BL SM model to save some trunk space and hope that the bass would be sufficient.
It was as simple as wiring 12V power and a good ground, and then connecting the L & R subwoofer speaker leads. Hardest part was attaching the device to the underside of the rear parcel shelf (so that it would not take space from the trunk floor).
Taking some time to adjust the gain, crossover, and boost dials has given me what I needed from this subwoofer w/out taking too much space. And the price was fair.

I installed this in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I had an amp and a 10" sub box in the back cargo area but wanted something more hidden, especially since I remove the top often. I bought this and it works and sounds great...to a point. It puts out good bass and fit perfectly under my seat. It does NOT sound near as good as my 10" sub did, but I already expected that when buying it. When I remove the Jeep top, it is a lot harder to get enough bass out of it. I listen to hard rock/classic rock/metal, so a "thump" isn't that big of a deal to me. But, when I have my kids listening to R&B and hip hop, this lacks that "punch" they want to hear. It has just enough adjustments that you can tweak it to get the best sound and I suggest really taking the time to mess with them. It took me a couple days of tweaking both my stereo and the sub to get just the right sound. I am quite satisfied because it fit MY needs, but if you're looking for some serious thump, this isn't for you. I would definitely recommend this for truck cabs, cars and small SUV's. I got it on sale for less than $150, which I think is a bargain! If I ever decide to go back to a sub box in my Jeep, I will definitely install this in another of my vehicles!

I have to say I am impressed with this product I bought it to put under my seat in 2014 mazda 5 , I already have basslink and disconnected it to put small to break it in because I didnt thought it would be not enough bass but to my surprise it's pretty good doesn't hit like the 10" basslink but between the two I believe it will be pretty balanced because I am running a 1200 watt cerwin vega amp and these two sub woofers !! I would say for 144.00 dollars this is a great under sub woofer or just in the rear ( make sure you mount it) has great sound !!!!

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 reg cab, I wanted some extra Bass without having to take up any of my behind the seat space. I HIGHLY recommend this for some extra Bass without having to take up any more space. It slid right under my drivers seat with no problems. Tapped into the rear speaker leads using L & R high gain inputs. I am really surprised with how much extra bass it has added. True as others said, people will not feel it when your coming down the street, but it added at LEAST what factory subs have. But I think more. I lowed the bass on the audio, to the other speakers which them clearer at higher levels and turned up the gain on the Bass Link to get my bass.Sounds great. Every bit as good as the factory Premium system maybe better, I bet more Bass. I was going to up grade the other factory speakers but now I may not as it now sounds that good. Some songs it really hits. I put peel and stick velcro on the bottom, just the hook strip and it stays put. For the money and the fact it takes up no space you miss, and the truly noticeable, feel-able Bass makes this an perfect addition. I haven't been this satisfied with a single product in a while, It worth the money.

I came across this little gem during Sonic's anniversary sale, and managed to get it for $127. I honestly didn't think too much about a sound system for my 2010 GMC Sierra, but I decided that for the price, it was worth the gamble. At only 125 watts RMS, you wouldn't expect much from a little 8" sub, and I didn't either; but after thinking about how good my home theater system sounds at only 100 watts, I figured that a factory-tuned sub (especially one by Infinity) couldn't be too bad. It slid easily under the rear seat and didn't take much room at all, and the sound was quite impressive! While you won't rattle any windows, the clean bass notes will rival any premium factory system. For some, that may not be enough; but for me, a music lover that's over his early 20's SPL quest, it's a heck of a bargain. Just make sure to use your crossover settings and let the sub do the work for your lows. Order one, you won't be disappointed.

I just installed this in a 2002 Impreza. It is MUCH better than the OEM sub, fits perfectly under the front seat, and really brings the bass to a more lively level. Don't expect it to rock your hair, but it will do what it is designed to do: give you a nice tight low end boost to the existing stereo sound.
