i bought this head unit to replace my old JVC and this head unit is so much louder and more clear. i have some hifonix Zeus door speakers and tweets and there so nice and clean, most tweeters have a crisp crunchy sound to it but when i changed my head unit to this pioneer its not a crystal clear sound. i would recommend this to anyone.

This is such a great unit, we bought two others for each of our other vehicles. Not only is the product awesome, we don't have to figure out a new unit in each vehicle. There are many features on this unit that we have not explored but for simplicity, this is about as easy as it gets (even for a non-techy!).

This Stereo isnt a bad one but doesnt have very many features and is a bit difficult to use. Push the circular thing to the right or left to change channels manually. The remote makes the stereo easier to use, its a good stereo for the money but not many functions on the unit itself.

i got this stereo refurbished awhile back and i love the way it looked. it was the first stereo i put in my dodge charger and it blended in very nicely. it has great sound options; i like the high pass filter it has and all of the EQ options it gives you. I recommend this to anyone; plus its really cheap in price (not quality though).

Works good, ipod very easy to control. Big improvement from factory. I love the aux in on the front. I recommend to anyone on a budget. Only downfall is at an angle the screen is hard to see. Great value though

My mother bought this unit for her car. When I attempted to use it I was stunned. I almost need to stop the car and get up close to the unit to read the lettering. Although it is a capable system, it was in no way designed so that it would be easy for a first time user to operate. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but I found this unit to be very frustrating. I now make it a point to not borrow my mom’s car just so I don’t have to use this stereo system. Although pioneer makes some good products, whoever designed the user interface on this product botched it big time. My advice, buy another unit with larger buttons, legible lettering, and easy to understand instructions.

I bought this HU at B*** B**, installed it, then when I went to buy my speakers at Sonic, I found they had it $25 cheaper! Gah. Anyway, I have this paired to stock 4x6s, stock 1" tweets, and Infinity 693.9is. It powers my speakers well. Chokes a bit on the deep bass, but still better than I expected. Audio controls are extremely basic but easy to change. Avoid the preset EQs (they're useless) and set it up so it sounds good to your ears.
The control scheme, although different, doesn't have a steep learning curve at all. The volume dial can also be pushed and treated like a D-pad, allowing you to change songs or scroll through menus. Once you learn it you won't want to go back. iPod controls are intuitive with one drawback, which I will mention later.
The design of this HU is great, and blows away many others in this price range. The LCD is small but bright. I like how the interface isn't busy - just a few buttons and you can do pretty much anything with them that you could do on a HU with buttons all over the place. It looks nice, from the black back to the silver buttons.
I just have a few minor complaints, but don't let that scare you - this HU is completely worth the price and more.
- iPod scrolling is sort of slow, making it hard to find a particular artist or song if you have a lot. This is why I use playlists now.
- There is no dimmer option and the blue light behind the volume dial is very bright. This doesn't bother me due to its low mount in my car, but it might bother you if you drive alot at night.
- Even though the remote has a pause button, pausing from the HU is another story. You have to hit the dial 3 times and scroll a bit just to pause your music.
Overall, a great product, and I'd recommend to anyone looking for an HU in the $100-$150 range.
