Can i run 2 10inch subs of this amp?
A shopper on Jul 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

You can run as many as you want. From 1 to 132 and on and on . The number of drivers doesn't matter, its making sure the figures match in relation to the final impedance. Now, 132 drivers is obviously hyperbole, but if i could manage wiring those 132 drivers to a 2ohm final load and those drivers are happy running off of ~>4 watts each, then I'd have a working system. For YOUR setup, you would want two 10" inch subs asking for ~250w RMS each and need to be either Single 4-ohm or Dual-2ohm so they can be wired to a 2ohm load. Give our sales team a call for further assistance, but please have a model number (for the subs) handy and not just a description.

Can I use a dual 2 ohm sub made in to a dual 1 ohm on this amp?
Chris B on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: I'm assuming that you mean dual voice coil, with 2 ohms per voice coil, wired in parallel to the amp, for a single channel of 1 ohm @ the amp. The user's manual states that 4 ohms is the minimum sub impedance. So your sub would work with this, but it would need to be wired in series (for 4 ohms), not parallel (which gives you 1 ohm)

I installed this in the son's Trailblazer, which has an open cab design. Using a dual voice coil, 2 ohm per voice coil Alpine 12", wired in series for 4 ohms @ the amp, it puts out pretty good bass. As a matter of fact, with the cheap MB Quarts in the doors, proper sub enclosure, sub and this amp, his system sounds very smooth, just the way I like it.

What would the output be at 12v? It's spec are rated at 14.4v
A shopper on Nov 22, 2015
Best Answer: on most cars when the engine is running and the alternator is charging the battery, you will see a voltage at the battery of 13.8-14.5 volts, so the amplifier will perform at its rated specs of output power. With key on and engine not running you will have 12 volts, but the power management circuitry in the amp will keep the output very close to stated specs.

How would I tune the LPF and HPF, if I want it to cross at 150Hz?
A shopper on Feb 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

You've essentially answered your own question with your question. You simply set your LPF & HPF to 150Hz . By doing so, your Mid-Range will begin at 150Hz & up and Your Subwoofer will pick up at 150Hz & down . If you are asking because you don't trust the crossover points on the amplifier, then you will only get an accurate setting with the use of a Crossover Calibrator, like the SMD CC-1 .
