Great Product, Best Price
The Boss BV9055 is a deck with great functionality and a beautiful design. After extensive comparison to other online stores I bought the Boss BV9055 from Sonic Electronix because they offered the best price and I knew my product would be shipped promptly and safely as I had used them before. I live outside the U.S. and their shipping rates are always reasonable and their service is amazing. I was not disappointed by the stereo at all. The videos are crisp and clean. The sound is amazing. Truly a great piece of equipment at any price...

the face trim is a little on the fat side, i had to modify this unit to get it into a 350z, great unit though controls are screwy but the screen resolution in top notch and the touchscreen is very responsive. Great value and great service from SE

I bought this thing for my wife's Nissan X-Terra and did not like it from day one.
Pros:
1. The video looks OK in the dark.
Cons:
1. The screen colors (pastels) are lame.
2. The clock on the upper right hand corner is always messed up. One day it gives you the correct time and another day it has some other hour. Adjusting the time is not an easy thing to do. I tried doing what the cheap user's manual says and it didn't work.
3. Adjust the volume with the touch screen is a challenge, you start adjusting the volume and next thing you know the bass and treble are changing.
Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 touches to change to a preset channel.
4. The sound was much much better on the stock stereo. I've tried the different sound settings (classic , rock, pop and loudness) and nothing seems to work.
I would not recommend this product to anyone. Spend a little extra and get a real stereo.

I purchased this stereo about six months ago.
Installation - It was pretty easy to install. The hardest part was getting it to fit correctly in my Double-Din slot. The face plate that comes with the unit isn't quite large enough, and the faceplate that came with the installation kit didn't have a large enough opening for the stereo. So, I ended up leaving it slightly tilted upward, and it works fine.
Functionality - It works well as a stereo, fair as a DVD player, and well with a stereo cable plugged into my mp3 player. The user interface could definitely be better, but it is functional. The functionality with an mp3 disc is hit-and-miss. It handles mp3 files fine, but it changes the display to "Please stop watch video" for wma files. This is also the display whenever it is in auxiliary mode with the the stereo jack plugged in. Also, it is pretty slow to react when you want to change from one FM band to another or to the AM band. You have to cycle through each, and it doesn't do it very quickly.
Sound - The sound has been fine for me. Although, I must admit that I don't have great speakers. As long as it is clear, I am happy. And, clear it is.
Quality - In the six months that I have used this, I haven't really noticed any problems, only quirks of the user interface, as noted above.
Overall - If I were to do it again, I think I would have saved up some more money and purchased something with a better user interface. I am used to the quirks now, but it would be nice not to have to get used to them. But, if you want a cheap system, this one will work fine.

found this helpful.not the best
I bought this one and a Jensen flip out that was much cheaper and the jensen was a better radio. the boss head unit touch screen works but is hard to push the correct button on the screen, it does not have any outputs for my amp and I had to go through a mission to get it installed in my 08 accord because the radio is huge, The sound is ok but I expected more and the settings are kind of hard to mess with
