Can i run this sub in Power Acoustik BAMF4500/5D AMP at 1 ohms using two of this with 1 ohm empedance too?
jhay1423 on Jan 21, 2016
Best Answer: If your amp channel is 1 ohm stable and you are capable of wiring these for a proper 1 ohm load then the answer is yes.

Hint: wire all four coils in parallel.

i bought two 12'' infinity subs and having hard time picking the correct amp for them?
A shopper on Jan 6, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

You've gotten ok suggestions, but the correct answer is you seek an amplifier that is providing ~600w RMS @ 1ohm or @4ohms , depending on the method of wiring used. Examples of this is the Pioneer GM-D8601 (@1ohm), Hifonics X1500.1D (@4ohms), or JBL MS-A5001 (@4ohms) .

Just received a set of these, noticed that from the looks of the foam on the lip that infinity is suggesting reverse mounting or mounting from the inside? Is there any options for a trim ring to finish off the sub install? The foam on the outside is not a great finished look. Any suggestion? Thanks Yall are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Answer: I need to send mine back, I have a warranty with mine through Square trade, junk subs, blew after 6 months of use they can't handle 500 watts at all. Just be warned they aren't capable of handling the power. Very disappointed in Infinity 12" subs

With 2ohm kappa speakers and a Kappa five amp, is it possible (good or bad) to connect the Infinity reference 1262w sub?

Infinity 1262w-OB

Best Answer: That would be a great combination. The Kappa Five amp is a five channel design with the fifth channel designated specifically for subwoofers. The first four channels could be used to power four regular speakers, such as two pair of the Kappa speakers you have listed. The fifth channel puts out 200 watts @ 4 ohms or 300 watts @ 2 ohms. The 1262w is a dual 4 ohm subwoofer so wiring the voice coils in parallel gives you a 2 ohm load which will make the amp happy. The subwoofer will also be happy with 300 watts.

i bought a Hifonics 2400 mono block instead of the Hifonics 1200 4 channel amp is that a good choice for these subs?

Best Answer: Hello Zachary,

We want to make you aware; Any response you receive will be a Guess. "Hifonics 2400 mono block" can literally mean one of a few different models. This is why its important so specify a model, and not just a description. So any answer you get can literally be referring to a model that is NOT yours.
With that said, if you are running the Hifonics BRX2400.1D, please make sure to wire to a 4ohm load. Wiring to 1ohm will be FAR too much power to the subs. If you are running the Hifonics ZRX2400.1D then wiring to 1ohm is really your only option, but you will be overpowering a bit. Use the link below to establish the proper wiring format. (you CAN use just ONE output on the amp.)
