How many outputs does this have I'm trying to hook up 2 4 channel a mps so I need 2 In front an rear an 4 out?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2015
Best Answer: I really want to start of say that I like shopping with sonic electronix. They are fast and also they always help with your questions. This product has 2 inputs and 6 outputs. Front and rear and subwoofer. You could use the male rca splitters that would help you on you 4 channel.

can i used this device to add a subwoofer to my factory headunit?
Th3Ace15 on Jun 24, 2016
Best Answer: Hi Brandon,

No , but then again it CAN be a yes. First, unfortunately, the HFEQ is not intended for factory integration - in that, it doesn't have High Level Inputs. However, if you do go with a Line Out Converter (LOC) - to be fair, that is all you need - you can then use that LOC to go TO the HFEQ and it will provide you with Three useable channels (Front, Rear, and Sub).

With that said, we suggest just keeping it simple, and going with the NVX XEQ7; it DOES have High Level Inputs.

Best Answer: For this particular EQ, it isolates the subwoofer channel from all the other ones inside the unit. That's why there are fewer input ports than output ports on the EQ. So, you run your front and rear RCA'S( all of them; Left front, right front, etc.) to the EQ(*** you will not use your deck's dedicated subwoofer output***), and then the EQ has a dedicated sub output ports, which then run to your amplifier. Also, its a pioneer and its specs may say it has a greater range or something on the built in EQ, but the Hifonics Eq unit blows it out of the water in terms of audio quality, guaranteed. Hope that helps bro.

I'm running Pioneer HU along with this unit, two Pioneer amps GM-D9601, Pioneer GM-D8604, two sets of RE Audio XXX-6.5C, and NVX VCW-104 subwoofer...all bought from sonix. It sounds really nice but I just think it could sound a little better. I'm just wondering if anyone have any in-put in term of setting and tweaking. eg (HPF-OFF-LPF on 4channel) GAIN, FREG and also the settings ontop the hifonics EQ?
Sambath K on May 17, 2016
Best Answer: Sounds like I have the very same setup with different manufacturers...
as for the high and low pass settings: I set my 4 channel amp which runs the deck speakers at a high pass of 80 Hertz.... I set my low pass on my bridged subwoofer amp at just below 80... that way I don't have competing sound frequencies....
As for the equalizer settings you just do what sounds good to you

I have the BRX640.4 amp and it says 6.0V to 0.2V input will the 9V out of this still be ok?
Kirk L on Nov 23, 2014
Best Answer: All I know is that this is great equalizer with comparatively strong voltage output. If the manufacturer of your amp says to stay in that range for input I would comply. You would hate to void your warranty in case something happens to your amp.

What are the input levels? This the sub inputs? And what sized wire for the power? 16 guage?
Lessteezy on Jan 19, 2016
Best Answer: -What are the input levels?

The Input Level is designed to match the sensitivity of the source, so a clean signal is passed through. If you are not aware of how to use the feature, we suggest having the unit professionally installed.

And what sized wire for the power? 16 guage?

16 - 12 Gauge will suffice.
