Need an amp for my motorcycle with a low current draw. This amp is said to fit the build. We will find out soon.

RF amps are generally very high quality and durable. The BR topology makes for a very compact enclosure which is ideal for tight spaces, although you do sacrifice some efficiency. A worthy tradeoff if you can't accomodate a larger form factor.

The specs on this amp say that 10 gauge is the maximum input size, but I have been reading that for 300W, 8 gauge should be used as a minimum. Even your 10 gauge wiring kits are only recommended up to 200W for the kicker brand (only 100W for the other one). Suggestions?

Best Answer: This thing is going to run ridiculously hot no matter what you do. But to answer your question, the terminal block will only fit a 10 gauge wire, so what I've done is made that cable as short as possible. In my setup I have a 4 gauge cable running from the firewall to a splitter fuse box and mounted the splitter within a foot of the amp which makes the stretch pretty short. I use the other terminal to power my sub amp with an 8 gauge. Just use high quality braided 10 gauge cabling and you'll be fine.

Do this unit have variable crossover ?
Carlton M on May 27, 2015
Best Answer: I have not had to deal with that part of the system, but it does list this in the specs: 12dB / Octave Butterworth crossover
Selectable High-Pass / Low-Pass Filter @ 80 Hz. Other than that, it works great - very happy.

would this work to put in a 49 cc moped?
matthup on Jun 3, 2015
Best Answer: As long as you have the alternator/battery power to handle running the amp it would work just fine. These amps are made for motorcycles and high noise installations. This amp packs a lot of power for its size. It really is tiny.
