NVX is an awesome band and I want to promote them

Unparalleled sound, quality and value. I own 2 of the 12's also and know how truly impressive these subs are. This is going into a custom made home theater powered sub enclosure. If your tired of looking for the perfect sub stop here because you just found them...NVX

What is the width of the magnet on the NVX VCW 10 inch model?
Chris c on Mar 4, 2015
Best Answer: I believe approx 6.125" wide from memory fairly beefy for a 10"

For a variety of music types (hip-hop, metal, rock, instrumental beats), would this subwoofer be better off in a sealed or ported enclosure? If ported, any suggestions on tuning frequency?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2015
Best Answer: I actually called NVX and the guy I spoke to suggested a ported or vented enclosure and tuned to 34hz. I would definitely call NVX to verify just to be safe. I would call to determine box size too. Unless it has been updated Sonic's website and NVX's website both have optimal enclosure at 1.0 cubic feet for a ported box. When I received the subs the book inside said 1.5 optimal. Quite a bit of difference. Because of that I did not have the airspace to run them the way I wanted. I would definitely call NVX. The customer service is really good.

i have a NVX JAD900.5 so i was wondering if this sub would be a good fit even though the JAD900.5 is rated for 440w rms @ 2ohm??
RIcky on Apr 21, 2015
Best Answer: You will be underpowered it may not have the output nor good damping that you might want. If you are looking for clean not really loud or punchy sound then yes it will be ok. Look at a driver that will work in the rms output of amplifier you cam go with 350 w rms unclipped on up as the nvx vcw104 rms is around average 700 watts now enclosure design will have a factor as well sealed power handling will be increased over vented

I have a pioneer d9601 and I am looking for one 10" to run off of it. I am considering this sub , as well as a Rockford P3D2. Would this be a better choice to run 2ohm @ 800 RMS, or the Rockford 4 ohms @500 RMS ? I will be using a small sealed box, approximately .75 cf for application.
