I love Hifonics amplifiers, I've used many different models in the past and have never been disappointed.

Can I run two 1000 watt rms alpine type r's on my hifonics brutus 1200.1d? I know they will be underpowered.
robbytom on Aug 2, 2014
Best Answer: Alpine type r is overrated at 1000 RMS its more like 600 RMS because I bought one and it blew up when my Brutus 1200 was maybe halfway turned up but 2 would prob go perfect with it
. I've switched to a stronger re audio rated 1100 RMS and had no issues. I'm running 2 ohms.

How many amp fuse should be used in 0awg power wire for this amplifier? Would 200 amp anl be to much?
rokstar on Jan 18, 2015
Best Answer: Hello Rick,

Although 200a is not "Too Much", we don't suggest anything bigger than that. Technically, we would rather go with a 150a Fuse .

What kind of subwoofer can i get 2 of that will hit hard with a hifonics brutus 1200.1?
robbytom on Aug 1, 2014
Best Answer: To get all of the amps available power go for 2 ohm subwoofers rated up to around 500-600 watts each. Which brand is subjective and depends on what kind of space and enclosure you are going with as well as your personal listening preference.

If you go with dual voice coil subwoofers get 2 4 ohm Dvc subs. Same wattage.

Wire them in series for a 1 ohm load.
