Bench tested by Sonic, so I trust the findings. I am on this website frequently for troubleshooting various installs. Can't wait to get it plugged in!

Best value and trusted testing specs. Also having good luck with ion series sub amplifier in car

Already own a ppi amp which I have owned for years driving my JL subs with no problems or complaints. Also your testing on this specific amp helped!

I have only a single stereo RCA pair to feed this amp, and plan to power all 4 speakers. If I don't plug in a set to the rear, will I only get signal in the front l/r? Or does it switch and feed signal to the rear l/r when it doesn't detect it? Checked the manual that came with it, no luck.

Best Answer: Hello,

like Todd and Lauren suggested, it will NOT send signal to the rears. We do NOT suggest Splitting the RCA signal, because this will dramatically degrade the overall performance/signal. Your best approach is to use the Amplifiers High Level Inputs w/ the harnesses that come with the amplifier, pictured in the link below. It is a bit more work than simple RCA connections, but is worth the effort if you wish to have a clean output. Instead of RCAs you simply need a strand of "9 Conductor Wire" to run from your stereos speaker wire outputs (total of FOUR outputs) to the amp's high level inputs.

How do i get the best performance if I am running only two 6.25 inch front speakers. What speaker ratings should I look for to best match this amplifier?
Markgc64 on Jun 16, 2015
Best Answer: I look for speakers that match the ratings on the amp. For example that is a 4 channel amp i believe is 500 watts. So you could run 2 speakers rated at 250 watts 4 ohm. I don't think there is any 6" speakers rated at that high watts. You can rune lower amp speakers with it and it will do just fine just don't turn it up too much or you will have to replace the speakers. I would look for a comparable two channel amp though if you are only running two spealers

PPi website useless... Can't find this amp's manual.
Will this run "3-way"? (2 ohm components on front channel, 2 (4ohm) subs on rear channel bridged)
It looks like some class D amps can't run "3-way"???
CohoCarl on Nov 5, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Mike,

This amp will NOT fair well with having a Different Impedance ran across it. We suggest a traditional 3 Channel amp MEANT to allow such an application.
