Do the wire end come already crimped and ready to install on this kit?
Jason "GSXR King" Waggoner on Dec 30, 2014
Best Answer: Note: there is plenty of wire to cut to your length. Then you must crimp and then heatshrink or tape the ends. I highly recommend and suggest that after crimping the terminals onto the wire, that you use heatshrink on the terminal and THEN electric tapr around for the best and tightest crimp. Careful not to crimp through the wire when applying the force needed to crimp the large terminals!

After installing the XS Power Big 3 kit. I'm losing one volt between the alternator and battery. My 140 amp alternator is steady at 14.4 at the terminal, at the other end of the zero gauge cable I'm getting 13.4-13.6. I don't know why I'm losing a volt here. Could the cable be too long or am I just dealing with a bad cable? Thanks
Peter on Oct 22, 2015
Best Answer: It could be that the power wire is not oxygen free, making it CCA. It's basically a cheaper and less efficient wire compared to oxygen free. Possibly upgrading to a better wire could increase your voltage. The length of the wire would most likely not be an issue since it is only a few feet.

What makes this kit only stable at 250 amps, and what would I have to change to make it able to handle at least 300 amps?
PSYk1ll4h on Oct 24, 2015
Best Answer: I believe it's just a power rating they use to set a safety point. I did the upgrade on my Yukon and I'm running a 350 amp alternator and I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

Best Answer: Hello,

XP series batteries are NOT intended to go under the hood, next to an engine within a vehicle - this is what the D series is for. Furthermore, whether the batter can "replace" your existing battery must be determined by you, simply by measuring your current battery. Lastly, two XP950 , in the right situation, would be a great addition for an extensive audio build.

I have a 3900 watts system not ''rms'' the 2 amps are from Audiopipe..a APCL-1800.D and a APCL-2004..what kind of Big Three you suggest for this kind of system that has a stock alternator ''110 amp'' should i go with the CCA or OFC wires?
A shopper on Jun 4, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

At best, your system is providing 2400 watts RMS - that is assuming the Monoblock is running at 1ohm and the 4-Channel is running at 2ohms, which is pretty doubtful. Even still, at the lowest impedance (4ohm + 4ohm) your system is getting pretty close to 1200 watts RMS which puts you at the cusp of considering OFC .
