Best Answer: whats the fuse rating of the brutus 200a? 100a? as long as your electrical can cover the fuse rating your fine. look at your batterys ah if it doesnt say then look at RC and devide by 2. a standars optima battery is 55ah stock altenator is maybe 80a. thats 135ah. minus whatever gadgets your car already uses. you will need to add ah weather it is a bigger battery bigger altenator or second battery u will clip. $200? sure why not depends on brand preference cause any 12v battery will help S long as it sots above 12.6v battery. your bru

Best Answer: Hey there! I bought this amp, and a similar one. It works by wiring the sub's together and then to the amp. There are different wiring configurations for specific ohms and power output. Look for a wiring config online for 2-4ohms sub's.

And another tip for free, when you wire these up, turn your gain, volume, and boost way down because this amp puts out about 2000 RMS (and will actually put that out at full power) and your sub's can only handle 700 rms combined, so you'll be blowing your sub's at first test. Or consider a smaller amplifier. Maybe .

whats the actual rms of this monoblock and at 14.4v how much Amperage does it require to do such numbers? if it requires 200a to come close to 2000 @1 then this thing will run hot real hot. hifonics rates the brutus brx2016.1d
[email protected] but what they dont wanna twll you is how much power needs to go in for that number to come out. they also dont tell you this amp is cea complient which means 2000 could be 200 . hifonics cea tests there 35th anniversary amps because they are better.but then again they only do cea ratings at 4 ohms and dont accomidate for box rise. be careful when going off maxxsoincs "true" power ratings because they will say almost anything to sell you crunch. samd boards everytime.

Best Answer: You're not gonna be able to get those numbers out of that amp without frying it, just happened to mine, and I'm pissed. I hope it gets warrantied or replaced

so i can put a 1ohm load to either "output" on the amp? sorry if its a dumb question. this is my first time trying to use this amp.
sergio h on Jun 3, 2016
Best Answer: Hi Sergio,

I suggest Not starting a new thread for each question, feel free to reply to Just this one.

As for your question, NO. If you put a 1ohm load to EACH output, the amplifier will see a 0.5 ohm load. The two outputs are connected to one another (i.e. wired in parallel) .

What subwoofers are you trying to hook up?

how do i bridge the brx 2016.1d?
sergio h on Jun 3, 2016
Best Answer: Hi Sergio,

A monoblock cannot be 'bridged', it is ONE channel. Don't let the two OUTPUT confuse you, they are ONLY outputs and NOT channels.
