can I hook up TWO to the same system to increase BASS ?
Dusty B on Jun 1, 2016
Best Answer: Yes if you use a y split on the RCAs (which is what i personally did)
or have a sound processer with at least 4 pre-amp put outs
or if you piggyback on the high level inputs on the subs
I would most probably look elsewhere if you want big bass and had the space. I have two of these in my nb mx5 mounted right behind the seat back which is just right for my setup.

I have a stock headunit and 4 speakers, do I just run the power wire from the battery to the unit? or do I need to tie into the rear speakers
Davd L on Aug 2, 2016
Best Answer: Because your headunit does not have low level outputs or sub outs you will need to tie either to the speaker level for front or rear and input that to the subwoofer with the provided connector to the Hi Input. You also will need a constant 12 Volt (very minimum 12 gauge wire (20A), a good ground (again min 12 gauge), and a trigger wire (12+) either from your head unit or you'll need to install a switch to turn it on and off. This can be a 20 gauge wire. I have min hooked up using the low level imputs with a sony head unit. The sound is improved greatly because the head unit does not send the low bass frequencies to my regular speakers any more. The sound is much brighter, but with a decent sounding base.

can this unit be used on a motorcycle ?
james c on Aug 23, 2016
Best Answer: Personally I wouldn't do it. It's necessarily big and heavy so I don't think it would be the best for installing on a bike. I haven't owned a street bike in years so am unsure about current alternator output but you have to keep in mind the 100W output requires about 200W of input power. I have a couple of them mounted in Jettas and they work great in the fairly small and quiet interior using the non-amped JVC HDR head units.

Does anyone know, would this fit under either front seat of a Honda Element without any modification to the seat or the speaker ? Thanks
Johnfredbarry on Sep 9, 2016
Best Answer: Hi, John; I don't have a Honda Element but I do have a lot of experience in fabrication. One of my favorite tricks is to get exact size of a component and make a cardboard box to that size. If you do that, it will give you the same size as the subwoofer, then slide it under the seat. This trick has never failed me. Hope that helps.
