Im looking to run ether this amp above or the "BossAR4000D" with the "MTX Terminator 212 Dual Sub (TNE212D)" along with a "Boss BV7949B" head unit & these 4 speakers "Boss SK65"... Im not sure witch amp would perform better.. can anyone help? Im looking to buy this setup this upcoming Thursday. Just not sure witch amp is best for the subs. I am running the speakers str8 to the head unit for the moment to see how that sounds. Thanks.

Best Answer: The hifonics amp by far. Ive had a boss amp and it doesnt compare. I installed this one for a friend of mine and it blows the boss out of the water. I have a 2400 watt myself and its all i use is hifonics/reccomend to others. Power it properly and you only have 1 other amp better in my opinion which is the rockford fosgate. The amp is 1 ohm stable ive had 2 hifonics both ran at 1 with no issues. Only reason im on my second is because i upgraded. Great amp for the price my man. No offense to you but boss and memphis both are not very good in my opinion, memphis is over priced and the same as boss. Boss is great for what you pay, but youll replace it next year if you use it alot. Hifonics is a great budget amp man. Sorry for the rant but in my 6 years of dealing with them and installing i will use nothing else but hifonics, or rockford. Hope this helped

I am planning on buying this amp and im new to this so for this amp do i search for peak RMS to match 1200w or do I match the peak power of watts to 1200w of the amp? and any suggestions on what kind of subs to get around $40-60 for a 2 12inch sub set up?
Mikael on Aug 29, 2016
Best Answer: Match RMS with the wattage of the amp. I don't recommend this amp, because it can't even do close to 1200watts. I clamped my at like 600watts. As for subs, just do some looking around, you'll find some.

Best Answer: Hello Ben,

Audiopipe doesn't provide a 'Power Range' for their drivers. However, generally speaking, a 750w RMS driver often has a Recommended Power Range of ~ 400 - 1000 watts RMS, depending on its efficiency, mechanics, etc.. Now, one would think that "600 Watts" would be ok, but the important detail is RMS. The ZRX series does NOT provide "RMS" figures, it only gives us 'Max Power Rating', which is often double the RMS. So, your amplifier is likely around the ~300 - 400 watts RMS range. With that said, we would suggest to get into an amplifier that matches the Performance/Quality (not necessarily figures/wattage) of the driver. Give our sales team a call if you need further assistance.

I have dual pioneer ts-w260d4 10" subs and will my hifonics zrx1200 1d amp be big enough to power them?
lawrence k on Jan 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hello,

Absolutely. The TS-W260D4 is asking for ~350w RMS , so two will be asking for ~700w RMS. The Hifonics ZRX1200.1D is only providing 'Max Ratings' , but we are able to make safe assumptions of what the RMS figures are; Most importantly, its likely doing ~600-800w RMS @1ohm making it a perfect match for your two TS-W260D4 (wired in parallel) .
