Why did you choose this?
Sonic Electronix Store
Because its a great value for a Rockford Fosgate product. Local install shops wanted 200$+ for it and I said no because Sonic Electronix would have it way cheaper.

Having a regular cab pick-up where space is really tight behind the seat I chose the RF-P3SD4-12. Shallow fit, DVC for safe 2 Ohm load, RF Quality, and Sonic Electronix great pricing and service. Can't beat it!

Best Answer: Yes for sure! The Epicenter will add more "umph" and bottom end with the P3SD4 especially if you listen to hip hop or latin music.

will this sub fit the Atrend 12SME box?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2015
Best Answer: According to Sonics specs it's about 1/8 inch to big. But if you put a foam gasket around the sub cutout it should make up the difference. Note that it's volume is less than what Rockford recommends for this sub so you may not be able to give it 400 watts without damaging it.

can you wire this speaker to 2 ohms?
will it be okay if i wire it to 1 ohm on a hifonics brutus X14 1100.1D?
alejandro t on Feb 19, 2015
Best Answer: It's a dual voice coil subwoofer (4 ohms per voice coil), so wiring it in parallel will give you a 2 ohm load. Running only 1 of these to that amp will give you a 2ohm load and a max of 700w RMS. I wouldn't recommend it. In order to get a 1 ohm load, you'd have to add a second subwoofer, also wired in parallel. With that amp and two subwoofers, this setup will give you around 550w RMS max to each sub. You should be fine with that setup as long as you watch the gain.

It's a solid sub, and even though it's shallow, it's sounds amazing. Good luck!

Anyone know what size the magnet is my box I'm building magnet might hit and can you take off rubber on magnet off does it affect sound or cooling cause I'm gonna use pollyfil or???
hec j on Jan 5, 2017
Best Answer: I wouldn't know about taking the rubber off and if it effects the cooling and sound. I don't suggest these speakers if you want low bass. They are just ok and make punchy bass.
