Great subs for limited space
I picked up a pair of these from a local shop. One was blown from the factory, but I quickly got that RMAd through Kicker. Built a box (only 1.25 cubes) tuned to 38Hz in the back of an 08 Scion xB. Out of the box with a Hifonics TXi 4008 running at 4 ohms to each sub, I'm getting great SQ. Keep in mind I haven't broken the subs in yet, so they're only gonna get better. When I clamped my amp with the gain at 4/10, I'm pushing around 40-50w to each sub. This is nearly in line with the Kicker recommendations of 55w in a ported enclosure. My advice, get a good quality amp that will deliver what it says, use quality power/ground cable, and use at least 12awg speaker wire for these subs. They'll perform as well as any other subs with the right power behind them. Oh, the Kicker tech support staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to go that extra mile to assist with any issues you may have.
