SANYO is the first in the industry to provide a simple wireless projection setting with the PLC-XU305. What could be simpler? Just plug in the SANYO USB memory terminal provided, and you’re a click away from automatically projecting the desired image on the screen.

The PLC-XU305 is equipped with SANYO’s exclusive PJ-Net Master Network Interface software that can accept wired or wireless networking. With SANYO Networking, you can monitor functions and operation from a long distance via a web browser for up to 15,000 SANYO projectors.

As long as we are in the “simple-to-do-mode,” this bright projector (3000 A.L.) has an Easy Setup Function. This includes Automatic Vertical Keystone Correction for screen distortion elimination, Auto Input Signal Search for handling input settings and a Guidance Function that assists in setting up the projection screen display. Easy and smart.

This is a great projector for business needs. A short throw lens and a 7 watt speaker make it a super presentation device.

Image Specifications

High Definition Projection
This means that the projector is capable of projecting a high definition (HD) display. If so, the maximum HD resolution will be listed.
Projector Display System
This is the type of system that the projector uses to display the image.
Resolution (pixels)
A display's pixel resolution defines its ability to resolve fine details. Digital TVs and projectors measure screen resolution in pixels. The higher the resolution, the more detailed the picture will be.
Lumens Brightness
A Lumen is a measurement of the perceived power of light. Projectors use the measurement of lumens to determine the overall brightness of the projector. The lumen measurement in relation to projectors was standardized by ANSI (American National Standards Institute). The value listed here is the number of "ANSI Lumens" and will be a consistent measurement among all projectors.
Contrast Ratio
On a display, the contrast ratio measures the brightest color to the darkest color. A high contrast ratio is usually desired in this value. A high contrast ratio is determined as the gap between the two numbers widens.
Aspect Ratio
The standard ratio of 4:3 (width:height) is one that most are familiar with; however, today we're seeing more models with widescreen 16:9 aspect ratios, which closely matches the most common movie theater screen ratio and HDTV broadcasts too.

Selectable aspect ratio means that the user has the option to choose which aspect ratio they would like. This feature is usually found on televisions.

Video Broadcast System
Most cameras and displays will be compatible with a NTSC video broadcast system. Others will be compatible with a PAL system. Many units will be compatible with both.
HDTV Compatibility
This means that the television, projector, or monitor is capable of receiving and playing back a high-definition signal.

Projector Features

Keystone Correction
The Keystone effect occurs when the image is being projected on to an angled surface. The result is a image that appears to be a trapezoid and distorted. Keystone correction is a feature that takes the distorted image and returns it to the normal image, despite the angled surface it is being projected on to.
Ceiling Mountable
This means that the unit has the option to be mounted on the ceiling. Often times additional accessories might be required to make the mount safe and secure.
Rear Screen Projection
This feature means that the projector has the ability to project onto a rear projection screen.
Built-In Speakers
This means that the unit comes with speakers already built into the unit.

Lens Features

This is the type of lens that the unit has. Some other details about the lens might also be listed.
Automatic Focus
Automatic focus means that the camera or lens will focus on the objects automatically, instead of manually adjusting the lens. This is a convenient feature that makes taking pictures and working with lenses much simpler and easier.
Manual Focus
Manual focus means that the lens is able to be focused by hand according to the user. This feature is best for those that want to have complete control of what they are photographing, viewing, or displaying.
Lens Shift
Lens shift is a highly convenient feature that allows the image to be adjusted horizontally and vertically. This allows for off center positioning and gives more flexibility in custom installations.
Minimum Projection Size
This is the minimum size that the projector is recommended to be displayed at. The size is measured diagonally and in inches.
Maximum Projection Size
This is the maximum size that the projector is recommended to be displayed at. It is measured diagonally and in inches.

Inputs and Outputs

Composite (RCA) Stereo Inputs
This is the number of composite (RCA) outputs on the unit.
HDMI Inputs
This is the number of HDMI inputs that the unit is capable of accepting.
Component Video Inputs
This is the number of component video (y,pb,pr) inputs that the unit is capable of accepting.
S-Video Inputs
This is the number of S-Video inputs that the television, monitor, or other display is able to accept at a single time.
VGA (D-sub) Input
VGA inputs allow the unit to be connected to a computer using an analog 15-pin VGA cable. This feature is especially important for those that want to use a projector or television to display the image from their computer. Ideal for presentations and other business applications.
DVI Input
DVI stands for Digital Video Interface. It is used in sending a visual image to a compatible display. DVI input means that the unit is able to accept a DVI signal.
RS-232 Port
The RS-232 connection port allows the projector to connect to other devices. Most commonly used to connect to a home theater system, the projector can receive automated operations such as turning the unit on or off.

General Features

Fan Noise
This is the amount of fan noise measured in decibels. The lower the number the quieter the fan is and less you will be able to hear it.
Bulb Wattage
This is the wattage that the projector's bulb uses. The higher the bulb wattage, the higher the brightness of the image.
Remote Control
Allows control of specific features and functions from a remote control. Typically they are used to prevent button wear on your radio, or to allow easier navigation of menus.
Power Requirement
This is the required way to give the unit power. Common power sources are 120V AC (Common house plugs), batteries, or a combination of the two.
The width of the item from left to right (side-to-side) measured in inches.
