The DBXI-10 Single 4 ohm 10" subwoofer is the perfect example of what it means to carry the Earthquake Sound name. Earthquake Sound subwoofers need to not only be loud but also sound great and perform without any problems. With an RMS of 400 watts this woofer will produce enough bass to really satisfy those low-frequency reproduction needs. The woofer features a pressed pulp fiber woofer cone and high-roll rubber surround for added stiffness, rigidity, and higher excursion capabilities. Its turbo propped cooling reduces thermal heat and thus increases output and lowering distortion during all periods of play. The woofer also features a 2" voice coil and double stacked magnet structure able to produce an impressive 3" of linear excursion, giving you deep impact bass. The DBXi woofer is your everyday driver that will perform day in and day out without compromising quality.

earthquake
I like rockford fosgate I like JLaudio I Iike MTX hifonics all the good brands. And they have an xmax no higher than 20mm. earthquake is like 76mm for a 10 inch sub. the 15dbxi is like 88mm that is sick. i did not get them installed yet but I will in a week or two. with a hifonics 2000 watt rms class d amp. the sub will be at a 1.3 ohm load. as soon as its all ready to go I will write a new review.

I have a single one of these in a custom sealed enclosure to specs. The box is down-firing behind my driver seat in an extended cab pickup. I had this a basic sealed pre-fab first but had to have it fire sideways and it just wasn't as good acoustically. The box my buddy made for this is sturdier and sounds sooooo much better it's insane! I am running this off of a Hifonics ZRX500.2 bridged at 4 ohm mono feeding it 500 watts rms. I only need one to get it loud in the cab. If you are a bass nut I can only imagine what 2 of these would do in a good ported box with the right power. They can get loud and really pound out the lows. I also love the accuracy this thing gives on the tight hits as well as the thunderous extension. I love this sub and am glad I got it. It may not have the 3 inch excursion of the old model but the 1 inch this thing can move brings plenty of impact. I highly recommend it. I can't speak to the durability yet but with a 5 year warranty Earthquake means business.

ok so i got 3 dbxi 10s in a 2.8 cu.ft box. a little big yes but man they sound good. almost like 12s. i am still breaking them in with a 2000 watt hifonics brutus amp class d. at 1.3 ohms half way turned up. cant wait to crank it.only one thing you should know is the xmax is for the older subs. the new xmax is 25.4mm one way that is 1" peak to peak. for a 10 that is really good. but im upset that was to be 76mm not 25. still good sub so far. when i crank them ill write more.

If your looking for a budget subwoofer that has a higher end sound this is it. I did however switch back to my Alpine Type R just because it does sound little bit better. Of couse they do cost litte more so they should. Also don't buy this subwoofer because of the XMAX because it is not 76mm anymore. Over all this is a good buy and nobody can touch their 5 year warranty.
