I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, Factory non HD system. This is SE not limited trim. Steering wheel controls and their version of On Star. The amp is pathetic. All i have found is a universal, speaker level converter to RCA. For adding a sub by its stated design. It worked good for that. Then I found a parabolic eq that takes a single left/right input and provides separate front rear and sub outputs with fader and master volumes. My problem is the factory amp is 25-30 watts rms and i have a hard time gaining it down. Trips input protection on my amps trying to get rated out of the big boys i added. A harness from the factory head unit pre amplifier shouldn't be out of the question. Does one exist?

Best Answer: Hello,

We highly recommend consulting an installer, as the following can easily be lost in translation, and these threads aren't intended for a full discussion about installations. However, we definitely would like to help =] . So...

The unfortunate fortunate part of all this is, You're doing this Correctly - in that you're taking your signal from the factory amplifier. Having taken the signal form the headunit would have provided the dramatic opposite of your current issue, a very low voltage wake signal. The best solution here is NOT a traditional line out converter - *I'll get back to this in a second - but a proper "premium" processor/converter like one from AudioControl, which are intended for situations like this with its ability to better match levels.

AudioControl LC6i

*Admittedly, they are pricier than your typical $20 LOC , so the only other option we would consider would be the Scosche SLC-4 , for it too has the ability to match levels a little better .
