Instant Loop Capture
This innovation to the SP-Series allows you to instantaneously record a piece of incoming audio or a loop of your performance and then play it back in perfect time with any other tracks you'd like. The loops can be recorded through the effects in real time and then set to a specific pad for later use. You can also produce sound-on-sound layering with the loops!
Extraordinary Performance FX
From satin gloss to utter audio obliteration, the SP-555 offers a whopping 37 different types of impressive DSP (Digital Signal Processing) effects to make your sound truly unique. Certain effects are available at the push of a button such as Delay, Isolator, Voice Transformer, Super Filter and DJFX Looper. The Effect Memory provides instantaneous recall of any of your favorite settings through the pads with zero glitches during switching of effects.
Make Magic With D Beam & V-LINK
Take your audience to the edge of their seats and right up out of them with the SP-555’s D BEAM and V-LINK features. Simply wave your hand over the infrared D BEAM controller section to adjust the SP-555’s filter(s), to play synth solos, or simply to trigger samples. Hook up some V-LINK compatible video equipment and you'll be able to sync visuals to your music - bringing a whole new dimension to your performances.
Multi-faceted Sampling
The SP-555 enables you to sample sounds in a flash onstage through the SP-555’s Line or Mic Inputs, or through USB (USB cable sold separately), which is ideal for performers or DJs who need to capture sounds and seamlessly toss them into the mix as they go. The SP-555 can support CompactFlash memory cards up to 2GB, allowing for 12+ hours of recording with zero latency playback!
Go Further
The SP-555 can certainly be used by itself, but you can go even further with the included critically-acclaimed DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Sonar LE by Cakewalk. The unit can be used solely as an audio interface for the included Sonar LE software, or virtually any other DAW or DJ software on your computer! Also, with the packaged Wave Converter software, you can import WAV and AIFF files and assign them to a CompactFlash memory card for use in the SP-555 (CF card reader required).
