The HPD-15 HandSonic™ is an electronic hand percussion multi-pad with triggering capabilities derived from breakthrough V-Drums® technology. Divided into 15 parts, the HPD-15 allows hand percussionists to play up to 600 realistic acoustic and electronic percussion sounds--15 simultaneously--with all the sensitivity that the Roland V-Drums® are famous for.

General Features

Display Type
The type of display on your receiver refers to the monitor that is used to display the source information such as song names, radio stations, or track times.

Dot-Matrix Text Display: A simple display which uses dots in specific illuminated color(s) to light up and form letters or numbers that are displayed on the receiver.

Graphic or Motion Display: Typically found in mid to high-end receivers and give your text information and receiver more life by adding motion, backgrounds, or multiple colors to your display. There are types of graphic displays such as 3D Graphic, Motion, and OEL (Organic Electroluminescent) displays. They can range from one color to full color displays and typically allow you to select from one of many built-in animations, background images, screensavers or other graphics to enhance your experience and add an extra bit of personality to your system. Some units also come with software that allow you to load your own customizable pictures or animations.

LCD Monitor Display: Can be as small as 2" or as large as 10". Some LCD displays are motorized for angle adjustment. LCD monitors display full motion video playback as well as your standard text such as track status, radio station information and more depending on the receiver's features.

Pads/Triggers are the amount of drum pads on the drum machine.
Sample Rate
Sample rate defines the number of samples per second (or per other unit) taken from a continuous signal to make a discrete signal.
Polyphony is a texture consisting of two or more independent melodic voices.
Timing Resolution
Select the effects which are stored and recalled with every Drum Set.
Preset Sounds
Preset Sounds is the number of integrated sounds the drum machine will produce.
Preset Notes
Select the amount of Preset Notes that are integrated into the drum machine.
Preset Patterns
The user creates drum patterns by pressing the trigger pads as though a drum kit were being played. The pattern is built up over time by adding individual sounds.
Preset Songs
Select the number of Preset Songs integrated on the Drum Machine.
Preset Kits
A Sequencer is software or hardware device for recording, playing, and editing digital music data.
Expansion Slots
Expansion Slots are ports which other devices can be connected to to expand drum capabilities.
Sample RAM
Sample RAM is the UltraSound offered MIDI playback by loading instrument patches into adapter RAM.

This is the number of MIDI inputs that connect to the Drum Machine. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) allows electronic musical instruments such as keyboard controllers, computers, and other electronic equipment to communicate, control, and synchronize with each other.
