The Roland R-05: Big Things in a Small Package

The Roland R-05 is a delightfully affordable, easy to use and portable WAVE/MP3 recorder that can record at astoundingly high resolutions in a broad variety of situations. The compact R-05 is packed with impressive, professional level features that certainly raise the bar for its competitors. With the R-05, you can capture spectacularly pristine 24-bit/96 kHz recordings, take advantage of enhanced editing and recording features and long battery life (16+ hours per charge). Whenever inspiration hits you, use the R-05 to capture the moment(s) with great convenience and ultra-high quality.

Olympian Quality Recording
The R-05 offers crystal-clear, uncompressed stereo recordings of up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Whether using the built-in stereo mic, an externally connected microphone or the stereo line input, you're sure to be astonished by the R-05's level of clarity. With the R-05, you can also enjoy worry-free recording with the remarkably convenient Rehearsal mode that ensures you won't overload the input.

Integrated Editing and Effects
The R-05 smoothly interfaces with computers via USB 2.0; however, you don't need a PC to edit your recordings. You can divide, trim and combine all within the R-05. Also, for users who would like to add a little more realism to their recordings, the R-05 comes equipped with a built-in reverb that has four unique settings to suit your taste.

The R-05's Rehearsal Mode
With the R-05's Rehearsal mode, you can make outstanding recordings of your band even at high input levels. The R-05 will automatically set the ideal recording level, and will even split the songs for you. The R-05 also has the ability to simultaneously record an uncompressed WAV file for CD production and an MP3 file for quick and easy sharing. How's that for convenience?

Music-Practice Features
The R-05 isn't just a mobile recorder. It can also help you practice your vocals or your instrument. You can choose to loop a region of audio, or even change the speed of playback without altering the pitch. That means you can playback a phrase slowly if you're having difficulty learning it, or at high speed to grasp the overall structure of a song in a shorter amount of time.

Other Applications
This handy little recorder is perfect for lots of non-musical applications as well. With the R-05, you can record speeches, meetings, lectures and any other public address performance you can imagine. The built-in microphone is very sensitive and will clearly record nearly any voice(s) in the room. The included windscreen and built-in tripod mount on the back of the unit ensure optimum placement and cleaner recordings.
