Subwoofer Specifications
Efficiency (1w/1m) is not an accurate indicator of a subwoofer's output capability and should not be used as a comparison to other speakers or subwoofers to determine which one is "louder".
Round/Circle: This is the typical and common subwoofer design. They have a round cone and are a circle in design.
Square: These woofers are able to achieve a greater cone area in a smaller space. Because of the greater surface area, some square subwoofers will be louder than a round subwoofer of the same size.
Recommended Enclosure Specifications
Sealed: These enclosures completely enclose the air inside the box. These boxes produce a tight bass.
Ported/Vented: These enclosures have a slot of air to escape from the box. The result is a sound that has more "boom".
Bandpass: These are a combination of both sealed and ported enclosures. They can be very efficient, but require tuning for the best response.
Shallow mount speakers will typically have a mounting depth of 2" or less, while shallow mount subwoofers will typically have a mounting depth of 3" or less.

I have two in a bandpass box with only a 760w amp and they are hitting out this world. I paid $100 for both and if I knew then what I know now, I'd paid double. I've had them for about 2 years and have had no trouble.

For the price that it is on this site i think it is a good sub.. I payed $150 for 2 and i regret paying that much.. They hit hard in a SUV vehicle because there is ALOT more airspace. I have them in a extended cab silverado and they don't sound that good but they hit prety hard..

I own two of these subwoofers in a sealed box. And they hit hard, I have them hooked up to a 1200 watt amp. I've owned them for about a year and a half now, and they still hit super hard. Only now are they starting to show signs of wear, but that should be normal considering how hard Ive been pushing them. If you want a great product that will last this sub is the way to go.

I bought two of these subs for a sealed enclosure. I put 370 wrms into them and they pound!! I tell all my friends to buy Pioneer subs if they're on a budget. This sub hits very low. I also like the looks of it a lot. I haven't had any problems with it in a year.

I had 2 of these subs in a sealed enclosure in the trunk of a plymouth breeze and was not impressed.when i took these same subs in a slotted enclosure in my 96 blazer, look out! these subs blew away JL audios had and held more power! For the money i highly recommend them or they're newer model, the TS-W307D4's.I'm currently building a wall with 2 of each.
