I have been running three Rockford Fosgate HX2's for 13 years and they still pound...but I was looking to retire the subs and get into something crazy and long-lasting. After reading lots of product reviews I decided to go with the RE sxx. I am running them off of an NVX 3000 true RMS amplifier that came recommended to me by sonic electronics which they gave me a very reasonable deal on. I am running one ohm and 1000 watts to each sub woofer and man it sounds amazing! Not only do they pound really deep and hard but they have a very clean sound like Alpine subs and I wasn't expecting that I am very pleased I am hoping to get many years of use out of them. I discovered new rattles I never knew I had in my car! Thank you Wes at sonic electronics.

I own a bmw 325ci convertible. I wanted big base but didn't have room for big speakers. I installed two of these speakers in my tiny trunk and achieved competition like sound. My girlfriend swears she can hear when I'm in the neighborhood. I'm all bout that base!

found this helpful.I have never heard of RE Audio...
I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what I would build my system with to install in my semi. When auditioning speakers at car audio stores in my travels, I stumbled across these RE Audio subs. I had never heard of them until a few months ago. I listened to the Alpine, Polk, Infinity, Rockford and another brand, Phoenix or something... Anyways, after hearing the RE Audio, it was a no brainer.
So, I bought the SXXv210D2 and had my local stereo shop construct a ported enclosure using RE Audio's spec sheet found on their website. I also had them double baffle the face and fill in the corners. I think this thing weighs close to a hundred pounds!
On a side note, I needed a 10 inch sub due to space requirements, this thing is under my bed. I was also concerned that such a small sub would really not cut the mustard... Holy smokes was I so wrong! This little 10 inch sub sounds like two 12's that I have heard in other cars. Don't let the size fool you, this baby rocks if you set her up properly.
All I can say is does this baby move some air! She hits the lows nicely and is really very musical. And paired up with the Polk MM speakers, 3 pairs, all I can say is that I have one awesome sounding system. Oh, I'm powering the sub with the Polk PDA 1000.1 Mono Amp hooked up to the Alpine 149BT head unit. All sound controls are operated via the Alpine with their TuneIt ap via my iPhone.
If you are in the market for a sub, give these RE Audio subs a shot, I honestly do not think for a moment that you will be disappointed.
