Great value, nice looking, impressively clean sounding power!
I bought this amp in December and have been using it to push an NVXVSP65 kit and a pair of VSP65 coaxial speakers in my Chevy Tahoe. I am also running a jl audio j2 500.1 to push a diamond audio D3 12" and let me tell you the crisp clean sounding mid and highs that this PPI amp produces is more than a pleasant/welcome surprise! I even waited a full 3 months to send this review to see if I developed any complaints but have found zero! This amp has performed flawlessly, never gets close to hot, and produces such clean sound that I feel appreciative everyday I drive. Also equally surprising is that I could find no reviews of this amp prior to ordering this amp (which made me a lil wary). Highly Recommended! Clean power!!

I ordered this amp as an upgrade for my sub, in addition to amplifying my rear speakers. I have two channels bridged for my sub, and it hits cleaner and harder than my previous amp. Also does well with the rear speakers, they get pretty loud. Only complaint is there was no speaker level input for the rear speakers, but I used a line output converter and it looks better with just RCA input. Another great order from Sonic Electronix.

The Ba1000.4 model from PPI, (Black Ice) performs as claimed. the SQ is pretty good for the price i paid. Compared to a JL Audio JX360/2 in terms of SQ, there is a noticable difference. not good nor bad, just a different tone
if you have run active, this should not pose a problem.
I highly suggest this unit. the power is good enough to drive a pair of Silver Flutes (90db) and NVX Tweets (also 90 db)
runs cool and has a delayed start. just note that this model has only 80 watts X4 (4 ohms) so this is not really a good choice for power hungry speakers or if you are after SPL. ( i was after SQ anyway)
I like to let you know that my unit has a "hiss" when powered on. i have run this unit of mine for about 45 to 50 hours now. the hiss was there when i initially powered it up, became more apparent after i tweak my equalizers.
it does not bother me, as when the music comes on, i could not hear it anyway. even on soft passages of chamber music, the hiss is not apparent at all (YMMV)
