Line-Out Converter Specifications

Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. The most common setup is a monoblock amp to run subwoofers and a 4-channel amp to run door speakers. Check out our Knowledge Base for more information.
Maximum Power Input
This is the maximum amount of power (measured in watts) that the unit is designed to handle. Exceeding this amount can void warranties and damage the unit.
400 watts

Why did you choose this?
Sonic Electronix Store
Purchased the nvx loc and the signal output is lower than I'd prefer max. Is .9v really don't want to replace factory touchscreen navigation head unit so I'm hoping to better luck the lc2.

After watching the Sonic Electronix video test on this, and speaking to a local shop about this unit...I was sold. Output power, acu-bass adjustability and cost.

Adding a 10" sub to my 2014 Ram 1500 and this along with a nice sub amp should be a winning combo!

my last hi lo kept giving me feedback when bass was on
kflirt85 on Feb 22, 2017
Needed LOC for my 2015 Ford Platinum with Sony Factory Premium sound. This system lowers the bass volume's the louder the volume is turned up. A traditional LOC would not allow for proper tuning, making the subwoofer "muddy". The LC2i corrects this with their "AccuBass", giving me better tuning and up to 9 volts out on RCA for my amp. The bass knob mimics a subwoofer adjustment of an aftermarket stereo allowing me to fine tune my Sundown 10" sub.

How would I wire the 12 V power to this, as well how would I connect the remote in?
Wayne C on Jul 29, 2016
Best Answer: Find a wire on your stock stereo that will only pass 12v when turned on but goes off when stereo is off. Multi meter with stereo pulled out will find this. I also used stock stereo speaker wires ran to it for input. If your looking to and serious bass to an amplified subwoofer this is your product. My ford would not distort when turned up and took bass away. After install with LC2i I had to turn sub gain and boost down!

I purchased this from you as well as 4- 6x9 Alpine-R 4ohm speakers. Will I be able to hook up the LC2I to my 4 channel amp and power all 4 speakers?
Andrew T on Feb 14, 2017
Best Answer: Hi Andrew,

First, when using the Q&A threads, we suggest not addressing your inquiry as if you are speaking to us, SonicElectronix. This is a community supported system, so answers will come in from other users more often than from us. As such, please submit such inquiries to [email protected] or call our Service Team at 1-877-289-7664.

To your questions: As Ryan has explained, the LC2i is a Two-Channel LOC. Thus, it is not designed to send Full Range signal to four channels worth of inputs. You would need a 4-Channel LOC for that. To reiterate, a 4-Channel LOC for a 4-Channel amplifier. However, some higher end 4-channel amplifiers have the ability to accept just two channels of input and provide four outputs, so we suggest consulting your manual for the possibility of that being the case here. Alternatively, you could use a splitter, but that also splits the quality of the signal, and that may have adverse affects.

Can I use this to take the speaker outputs from a home cinema amp and feed a wireless speaker transmitter rca input? If so do I need to power it with a 12v power supply? Thanks.
Mark V on Oct 8, 2016
Best Answer: The unit does require 12V power, and you would have to wire a remote wire as well for the way you intend to use it. (To keep it on full time) If you omit the remote wire and switch to sense, the unit shuts off during periods of low volume and takes a second to power back on when the music gets loud enough again. Other than that it should work for you.

I only have two speaker wires (Bose sub wiring) running a mono amp and I'm curious if this will work for me. Can I just use the bass outputs and skip the main?
MrSlaybury on Jun 19, 2016
Best Answer: Considering the fact that the LC2i can take up to 400 watts rms speaker level input, you should be able to use the sub wiring from a factory amp since they normally dont run any more than 200 watts. the other thing is that the pre amp output voltage can be up to 13 volts, not only will it work but it will deliver a clean signal to your aftermarket amp. just remember that most aftermarket amps can only take up to around a 9 volt pre amp input, so you will want to set the gain accordingly.
