I'm trying to mount a single DIN radio (Sony CDX-GT270MP) into my 1990 Chevy G20 van. Are these the parts I need to order: GM1508B/GM150 and MDA1B/MDA1?
If not, what do you suggest?

won't the market cables in the car work without having to buy this?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2014
Best Answer: In a word, no. It used to be that antenna cables were almost standardized. For instance, many GM and Mazda vehicles from the past twenty years have small-diameter cables. Also, if you'll notice, the cable pictured ends in a 90 degree angle. That could be the difference between vending the cable until it breaks and not, plus it'll allow your dash unit to go farther in.

A $4.00 item is not the place to begin trimming your budget. Not if you've spent close to $1,000 on the unit and speakers.

why do I need an antenna adapter?
stelerz56 on Aug 2, 2015
Best Answer: Some vehicle manufacturers stock antenna cable wont fit directly into a new aftermarket receiver. Luckily, they are really easy to install and quite cheap (or possibly free if you buy from Sonic Electronix).
