Great product for the money
This was a Christmas gift for my son. He was thrilled with the gift and has already been rockin' the neighborhood!

Pioneer has always made good subs (some of them legendary).
These are rated at 400watts RMS but can handle musical peaks of up to 1400watts max. Learn the difference between RMS and max.
If you put them on a decent quality amp rated for 400watts RMS (these will probably handle at least 500rms) with gains set properly set and in a properly designed and built box, they'll be fine.
If you drive them with ANY amp to clipping (distortion) for an extended period of time, they will blow. If that amp does more than 400 REAL watts RMS and it clips, it will blow them even faster. The gain adjustment on your amp is NOT a volume knob...

The speakers have blown in less than one month. They're supposed to be 1400 watts but a 600 watt amp was hooked up to them. I'm very disappointed and embarrassed
