With this amp if I buy 2 subs that are 2 ohm do they need to handle 200 watt RMS or 400 Watt RMS each? Im attempting to utilize the 400 watts rms x 2 at 2 ohm load that the amp offers.
Brandon T on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: Hello Brandon,

To get a 2ohm final load from ONE INDIVIDUAL subwoofer, you seek a Sub that provides a configuration of "Single-2ohm" or "Dual-4ohm" (which will be wired in Parallel down to 2ohms). In addition, the power handling of That ONE subwoofer must be ~400w. Therefore, for example, you seek a/two Dual-4ohm 400w RMS subwoofer.

A great example is the NVX VSW104. It is a Dual-4ohm, asking for ~400w RMS, that can be wired down to 2ohms.
