AudioControl Store

For over two decades, AudioControl has been designing and manufacturing award-winning autosound products at our factory located in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. During this period, countless sound-off winning contestants have chosen AudioControl products to give them the competitive edge. “Can you really win without AudioControl”, was part of an article written commenting on competition winning systems. Nothing sounds better than an awesome recording played back on a kickbutt system. Unfortunately, the acoustics of your vehicle can take away from your systems performance. While AudioControl products do not change the laws of physics (although they act like they do), autosound enthusiasts have long known that AudioControl products “make good stereo sound better”

LC2i - 2 Channel Line Out Converter with Accubass™ and Subwoofer Control

The AudioControl LC2i, is a compact, two-channel processor with active input circuitry, which allows it to accept speaker-level signals of up to 400 watts per channel from factory-installed source units or amplifiers. It converts them to high-quality pre-amp signals that can then be directed to after-market processors and/or amplifiers. Users can enjoy maximum sound quality while maintaining the use of factory volume and steering wheel controls.

The AudioControl LC2i is also a super low distortion (typically <.01%) 9.5-volt line driver as well as a line converter. You now have sound quality every bit as good as with an after market head unit while keeping the convenience and cosmetic features of the factory installed source unit. In short, the LC2i gives you the brilliant sound quality that AudioControl has been providing for over 33 years. Combine this with the AccuBASS™ equalization discussed below and you have mind-bending performance from a factory head unit.

Active, High Impedance Inputs

Active, High Impedance Inputs

AudioControl’s Active, High Impedance Inputs you’re in a whole different world. AudioControl’s input stage results in a ruler-flat frequency response so you get rock solid bass without the signal roll-off you get with those passive LOCs. Passive LOCs have been used for years yet they add distortion, reduce signal and roll off bass. In short…they sound bad!

AccuBASS™ Bass Compensation

AccuBASS™ Bass Compensation

Most factory speaker systems are not capable of loud, clean bass reproduction. This is why many car manufacturers restrict bass frequencies at higher volumes. AudioControl’s AccuBASS™ Bass Compensation circuit corrects this with a set it and forget it remix circuit.

    Number of Channels
Each channel on an amplifier will power one speaker using a positive and negative cable. There are various types of amplifiers, each designed to power a certain number of speakers. Monoblock amplifiers, also known as single channel, are designed to power one or more subwoofers. These amplifiers often have very high power ratings. On the other hand, multi-channel amplifiers power multiple speakers, usually at lower power ratings. 2-Channel and 4-Channel amplifiers can power car speakers or low powered subwoofers. Occasionally you might see a 5 or 6-channel amplifier that can power speakers and subwoofers at the same time. The most common setup is a monoblock amp to run subwoofers and a 4-channel amp to run door speakers. Check out our Knowledge Base for more information.
    Maximum Power Input
This is the maximum amount of power (measured in watts) that the unit is designed to handle. Exceeding this amount can void warranties and damage the unit.
