Yes it's loud! I also have one JL Audio 12w7 sub in the HO box set aside. The W7's sound quality is unmatched, but these Kickers deliver high SPL across the entire frequency range, and that is why people buy them. My amp is a RF T1500-1bdcp. My single 12W7 sub in the HO box will probably take as much power as both these Kicker L7's can, but the Solobarics just produce so much more output, especially at the mid- frequency range where the W7 box lacks. Comparing these two enclosures is really like comparing apples to oranges. I am not really a fan of Kicker amps (JL or RF are built much better), but these L7 subs in this matched enclosure surprised me. I tried the MTX Ts5512x2D box but this Kicker box kills it everywhere. The Kicker box is much better built, sounds better with less power, and hits all the frequencies-hard. I love my JL Audio stuff, but I put in my Solobarics when I really wanna shake the car!

These things bump, they are definitely worth the price, i have these in my 2010 suburban and they shake the whole car, you can't beat sonics prices.
