AudioControl has paired our award winning amplifier technology with our powerful Matrix DSP into the D-6.1200. This single-unit solution provides unprecedented power and tuning flexibility when you require audio perfection from your factory or aftermarket sound system. The D-6.1200 features active speaker level inputs, line-level inputs and outputs plus, using AudioControl’s DM Smart DSP app gives you complete control over all features including 30 bands of equalization, signal delay, input delay, polarity and AudioControl proprietary features like AccuBASS®, GTOTM Signal Sense, and MILCTM plus integrated input and output RTA’s.

The built in Option Port on the D-6.1200 is the future of car audio and will allow hi-res streaming directly into the DSP. It also opens up future proprietary connections for additional inputs, controllers and interface solutions. Perfect for OEM integration and aftermarket builds, the D-6.1200 packs power and intelligent flexibility into one beautiful cast aluminum chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

My amplifier won't turn on using the GTO Signal Sense. What’s wrong?

GTO looks for a DC offset on Speaker-Level Inputs 1-2. If your factory head unit doesn't output this specific signal, the amp won't wake up. In this case, you must run a physical +12V "Remote In" wire from an ignition source to the center terminal.

What do the MILC LEDs mean, and how should I use them?

MILC (Maximum Input Level Control) prevents source distortion. If the "Source Clip" LED lights up, your head unit signal is clipping; turn down the head unit volume. If the "Maximize" LED is on, you’ve reached the optimal gain level for that channel.

The DM Smart DSP software won't connect to my laptop. How can I fix this?

Ensure the amp is powered on first. Use a high-quality Micro-USB cable (not just a charging cable). If it still fails, check Windows "Devices and Printers"; if it shows as "Unspecified," you may need to manually reload the drivers from AudioControl.

I’m getting no sound from my subwoofer on Channels 5/6. What’s the fix?

Since this is a Matrix DSP, you must manually route the signal. Open the DM Smart DSP software, go to the "Output" tab for Channels 5/6, and ensure the "Sum" or "Input" checkboxes are checked to tell the amp which inputs to use for those outputs.

Why is the "Protection" LED flashing a red code?

Protection usually triggers due to low impedance (less than 2 ohms per channel) or a short circuit in the speaker wiring. Count the flashes: they often indicate whether the issue is thermal, a short, or a voltage drop below 9V.

Can I use this amp with my factory radio without a separate LOC?

Yes. This unit is a "High-Level" specialist. It accepts up to 40V signals directly into the speaker-level inputs. For best results, use the "Input RTA" in the software to see if your factory radio has a pre-set EQ you need to flatten.

I hear a hiss or "floor noise" when the volume is at zero. How do I stop it?

This is usually "gain hiss." If your input signal is weak and you’ve cranked the internal DSP gains to compensate, you'll hear noise. Lower the gains in the software and try to increase the clean output voltage from your source unit instead.

How do I reset the DSP to factory settings if I mess up the tune?

Within the DM Smart DSP software, go to the "File" menu and select "Reset to Factory Defaults." This will clear all EQ, Crossovers, and Time Alignment. Note: This will also mute the outputs until you re-route the input signals.
