I recieved this as part of a package deal. It is enough to cover the lid of my 98 Civic sedan trunk. This will clean up the sound of your lows by decreasing noise (rattles, distortion of sound, etc). This is the first step in noise reduction and everybody should start here.
I doubt it will create a noticable increase in sound from your speakers.
Very flexible, sticks like crazy! Easy to work with.

I found the price great for the product I got. Installation was very easy, product sticks very well (Remember to clean/prep the surface). I noticed a difference right away in my music as well as overall noise level while driving on the highway (Doors done - trunk is next). Not the thickest sound dampening out there but it def. helps :)

Got the sound dampening door kit with some speakers, the installer put it on the rear deck of my vehicle where my two rear speakers and factory sub are. The difference is night and day, expensive but quality, good to get with speakers or a sub.

All I can say is OMG!!!!
I was saving a specific disk to test out my speakers and hear what they where capable of. The Disc? Try the Original Soundtrack to the movie Gladiator!!! This disc has tracks that will put your speakers through strings, horns, kick drums and some really cool female harmony. The Movie is also one of my top 5.
For now I have the tweeters stuck to the sail panels just below the grab handle and angled facing each other. I was hoping they where going to be musically noticeable as I really don't want to be cutting into those panels but they're musically invisible and I can hear every note! They sort of sneak up on ya.
The woofers are no dogs either. Again, no sub yet and I was feeling these things with that Gladiator Soundtrack. I swear I jumped a few times when the heavy bass came in.... and those trumpets......
