Learn more about the minikitneoMaybe you lease your vehicle. Perhaps you rent cars frequently. Whatever the reason, you don't have Bluetooth in your car, and you're not interested in replacing your factory radio. Parrot's convenient MINIKIT Neo Bluetooth car kit clips on your visor, then links up with your compatible mobile phone, smartphone, or iPhone to give you instant hands-free calling and much, much more.
Plug the Parrot MINIKIT Neo into your computer via its USB port to download free software updates. The speakerphone actually talks you through the process of pairing it with your phone. Once you mount the MINIKIT Neo on your visor, it syncs up with your phonebook instantly. You speak commands to initiate, accept, or reject calls, all without taking your hands off the wheel. And it's made for sharing — you can connect two phones simultaneously, even accessing phonebooks from both, and you can control up to 10 portable devices, including an iPod. Another big plus: the the MINIKIT Neo is battery-powered, so you don't have to worry about any dangling cords. You can also enjoy up to six month of standby with Ultra Low Power Mode. The MINIKIT Neo will tell you the remaining battery time vocally upon request.
The MINIKIT Neo has its own suite of free downloadable apps (available for iPhone and Android smartphones), including auto-reply for texts or calls, a parking timer to help you remember when to drop more coins in the meter, a car-locator GPS feature, and even a driving time reminder to let you know when to stop and take a break on your road trip. The MINIKIT Neo switches on automatically when you get in your car, and it will let you know when the battery's getting low. You can play music on your phone through the built-in speaker, and you can also listen to spoken directions from your navigation app.
Synchronisation with your phonebook is automatic and all menus are vocal so you can stay focused on driving. The integrated clipping system is compatible with all sun -visors and can be reversed easily with only one hand when you fold or unfold the sun visor. You can also listen to all your music on your phone and benefit from the voice commands of your navigation app directly on your kit.

Great product!
The Neo-Parrot I purchased is a great addition to my '06 Dodge Ram. This product is inexpensive and works as advertised. If your car doesn't have Bluetooth built-in, the Parrot is the best way to add it. The only downside is that you have recharge it every 3 to 4 days depending on how much you use it. Definitely worth the 'hassle'.

Our CRV did not have bluetooth, and the Minikit Neo is perfect for what we wanted. The design is sleek enough that it can stay up on the visor and not look out of place, and even though our visor has a mirror and is pretty thick, the Neo fits perfectly. (The thickness of our visor is the maximum it could be to work, though.) The only complaint is that the battery life is not nearly as long as advertised, so we just turn it off and on as needed.

Excellent product! Links automatically within 5-10 seconds, excellent range if you leave vehicle with phone, clear calls and audio, retained factory look and function of stereo. Went with the no-display version. No trouble controlling unit without display, as all commands are repeated back to you. Using Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD

The unit does a poor job on voice activated calls. Most of the time it fails to understand who I'm trying to call. When i do make a call, the voice coming over the speaker is very poor quality at times, almost "crackly"

The product performs as represented and I am pleased with it.

Make sure your visor is NOT too thick. If it is, the pressure of clamping the speaker onto the visor will make the front buttons of the speaker too hard to press and thereby inoperable. The design is pretty but a wire clip is more functional.

Bought 2 mini kits - one for each car. One works great, the other does not "wake up" so the Bluetooth does not automatically connect.
