Rich Deep Bass
So i pulled the trigger. Seems like I'm the first one too! There is a huge lack of reviews for this subwoofer. I've searched the internet high and low and never found but maybe 1 so let me get started!
The speaker itself: MB Quart put the time and effort into designing and building this subwoofer. It is very well made with nice spring loaded hideaway terminals, a beefy rubber surround, woven fiber cone, heavy magnet, and very lightweight but STRONG basket. It is certainly unmistakable for their "premium" line of speakers. I really like the selectable impedance feature which is also fused to protect the voice coils. In theory you shouldn't ever be able to run too much wattage through them and cause the coils to blow. I'm powering it with a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D which i bought from Sonic. A perfect match to the subwoofer producing 500 watts at 2 ohms.
Onto the sound: I have it in a sealed 1.25 cubic ft Ground Shaker box (also bought here) and it sounds tight and clean! For the record I'm a 10" sub type of guy and would never use anything other than a sealed enclosure for accuracy. Jazz, classical, swing, and very musical compositions in general sound fantastic. I'm very impressed with the reproduction of bass drums kicking and string basses playing. I thought it would be boomy or muddy (because I'm the 10" subwoofer guy) but it wasn't! Now because I want to be fair and right a review for everybody, i had to play some hip hop and trap music for all the bass heads. Here's the deal on that.... I think we all can agree 84 decibels of sensitivity is on the low side. That said at 500 watts RMS, the bass comes through loud and clear, but if you want it to shake your mirrors off, you're better off with 2 and probably in a ported box. MB Quart even states in their description on their site that this subwoofer is intended to be musical and not for the SPL crowd of people and I agree! I'm a big band swing/ jazz listener so it suits my needs and adds the perfect amount of clean accurate bass to my setup. Overall I think it's worth checking out for sure. I know there are a lot of subwoofers out there under $100 that are amazing and I know that's why there are next to no reviews for this item. That and the Maxxsonics ownership which I get it...they are lower end, but you inevitably get what you pay for and a higher priced MB Quart subwoofer comes with a higher quality build. I love Sonic Electronix and definitely a customer for life with them, but if they want this sub to sell, they need to come down on price to match their competitors which is why I gave it 3 stars on value. Other than that, I'm happy!

The weekend I received the PWM304 I had mounted it in a belva box I got in a combo deal. The simplicity of the push terminals and Ohm selector make for an easy install. After getting hooked up to my home receiver to which I bought the subwoofer for, I was baffled by what I heard. There was no distortion and the bass was tight and accurate. After watching movies, playing video games and listening to music with it hooked up, I have nothing but positive things to say.
To anyone that is looking to buy a subwoofer for SPL, this is NOT your choice to go with. It was designed with sound quality in mind and there are better alternatives for the price, if that is what you are in to.
