The XX series are the newest edition to a high-end woofer collection from RE Audio. This woofer borrows a lot the same features as the infamous XXX subwoofer, but for a much more affordable price!
The XX subwoofers use a dual composite 2-piece cone, and a rubber surround. They are housed in a cast aluminum basket and still use the 3” 8-Layer Aluminum Flat Wire Voice Coil that you find the flagship XXX. The XX woofers can be found in 12”, 15”, and 18” sizes, and both dual 2 ohm and dual 4 ohm configurations.
All of the XX subwoofers can handle 1500 watts of RMS power. The XX line-up shares many characteristics with the XXX. In fact, the main feature that separates the XX and the XXX is the magnet size. The XX woofers still use a very large magnet, however. What are you waiting for? Add some insane output to your vehicle today with a XX subwoofer from RE Audio

Amazing Subwoofer!
I was looking for a good upgrade from my Power Acoustik Mofo 152x and stumbled upon this sub. I looked for reviews but sadly there weren't any. So I took a chance and bought it and let me tell you it was totally worth the buy. This thing hits those smooth lows and gives that good punchy bass all while keeping clarity. This sub is good for home audio as well as car you just need a good enclosure. This sub and the XXX were both originally designed as concert drivers but then converted to be used as a car sub but as I said it will work as a car or home sub without any problems. If I had the money I would buy another one without hesitation.

The way this sub sounds is "buttery" if had to describe it. Its favorite frequencies are 20-60 hz , anything higher then that the dbs quickly fall off and it becomes unresponsive. I would not recommend this subwoofer for rock or chest pounding quick fast bass, its built for extreme excursion and low frequencies. For example i hooked up my fosgate p1 15's played some rock, quick punchy bass. I Hooked up the XXv2 with the same song, all you get are lows, not punchy. When i switch to constant lows like rap, whole car shakes. Purchasing another one soon.

This speaker will hit 139db in the right box with the right power. Contacted the company that makes the speaker and talked to the tech. He gave me specs to build the ideal box for spl and port size. We got 132db on the first try with 2000rms. Bolted the box to the floor of the suv and closed up the vehical and changed the xover points and made 135db. Ran it for about 3 months for breakin and cut the freq to 32hrz then cranked the volume. 138db. I understand that kids nowadays think their fosgate 12s will hit 150db so 138 is weak but it ripples the body panels at a REAL 139dbs. THAT IS VERY LOUD for a single 15in woofer. This woofer will not dissapoint. If you think about what it really takes to make this type of output with a calibrated meter then realize the potential for multiple woofers. Wow.
Solid sub for daily
Very hard hitting in a good enclosure great sub for the value fairly rated but dont go much over
