Exactly as advertised
I ordered this amp after purchasing a boat with a system that was wired up with car audio equipment rather than marine equipment. The existing wiring was corroded and the two amp system just wasn't working very well. The only good thing was that the existing amps were class D amps, and stayed cool in the hot/damp environment, at the cost of corrosion. Needless to say, I was apprehensive about the temperature levels for this class A/B amp, especially since the only quality ground on a fiberglass boat is the battery inside the engine compartment. However, this amp does exactly what it is designed to do. I routinely spend 6-8 hours on the water, and the amp has never skipped a beat. As far as overall power, yes, there are better amps out there if you want to spend $500-$800. As for me, I'm very pleased, and my sound has never been more clear. Oh, and I use all 5 channels to run four Kicker 6.5's and one 10" sub. Next year, I plan on changing things up a bit and getting two wakeboard tower speakers, and this amp will be switching duties to that. Definitely worth the money.

A little worried at first because of how cheap it was. Being a believer in MB products I got went Ahead with it. Put it in the boat and hooked it up. Sounds amazing and the two tens hit harder then a 1500 watt amp with two twelves. Highly recommended

Coming from a dual Alpine amplifier set up in my last vehicle I was apprehensive about going to a single 5 channel amp , Gotta admit I am glad I took the chance , Excellent highs and mids and the bass is clean and tight , very impressed , great bang for the buck , Hooked it up to a Pioneer AVH5500 , Polk DB 6501 components in the front doors , DB651 co-axials in the rear doors and (2) 10" Polk Mobile Monitor subs in a custom sealed enclosure , nice clean tight bass and still lots of gain to play with , if you are looking for a 5-channel amp and don't want to break the bank , take a chance on this MBQ 710.5
The only CON is that if you are looking to mount this under the front seat , its pretty good size and may not be possible.

I just recently purchased this amplifier from Sonic and have it powering 2 sets of JBL 5.25 components and 1 JBL 10" subwoofer. I have to say this is one of the best bang for your buck amplifiers. The sound quality is crystal clear and the power is certainly there. Another impressive feature is for being an A/B amplifier it doesn't get too hot. The amplifier is actually white in color (the picture on the Sonic page makes it appear almost stainless steel) but it is a nice looking amplifier if that sort of thing is important to you. I wasn't aware it was a marine amplifier before i bought it but i guess it doesn't really matter. Car or boat it works just as well. Are there better amplifiers out there? Absolutely, but for the price you'll be hard pressed to find one. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will be purchasing MB Quart products again regardless of ownership currently being Maxxsonics. I think in this case you get more than what you pay for. The reason I'm giving it overall 4 stars is to be fair to all the audiophiles out there because there are better amplifiers but prepare to shell out the money :) Value I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Great entry level 5 channel. As far as 5 channels go under $200, MB Quart simply cannot be beaten.

I installed this amp in my 2003 Sea Ray 220 Sundeck. I currently have it hooked up to 4 6.5" JL Audio and they sound amazing. Planning on adding a sub in the near future. This amp is the best bang for the buck on the market.

unstable at 2 ohms. even after i moved the subs off channel 5 it still overheats. sounds great for the price though. Don't expect to run it all day with 2 ohm loads.
